Hardik Pandya is one of the most prominent cricketers in the Indian cricket team. The player often leaves the cricket lovers in awe of his swift batting skills. From showering fours and sixes to taking impossible catches, Hardik knows how to play his game right on the field. However, in the last few months, he has been receiving severe criticism as he became the new captain of the Mumbai Indians team, thereby replacing Rohit Sharma for IPL 2024. And after the team failed to mark the winner's tag in both of the games that they played so far in the IPL 2024, Hardik has been facing its wrath.

The audience throws bottles and shoes after witnessing Hardik Pandya on the giant screen 

On March 27, 2024, Mumbai Indians played their second game against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Moreover, SRH scored 277 runs, thereby breaking all the records in IPL history and making it the highest score. On the other hand, MI failed to beat SRH by 31 runs. Now a video has been going viral online, wherein fans can be seen reacting to the same.

The video was shared on X (Previously Twitter), wherein Hardik can be seen giving his speech after the match was over. However, as soon as the audience witnessed him on the screen, they started throwing shoes and bottles on the giant screen, thereby expressing their anger at the cricketer's captaincy.

Hardik Pandya gets booed and teased with Rohit Sharma's name during the match

Hardik Pandya continuously faced trolls soon after he decided to be the captain of Mumbai Indians for IPL 2024. However, in several videos that have been doing rounds on X (Twitter), Hardik can be seen getting humiliated by the audience. In one of the videos from yesterday's match, Hardik can be seen getting booed by the audience and teased by Rohit Sharma's name as soon as he came to the boundary during his field duties. In another video, the audience was seen chanting Rohit's name as soon as Hardik made his way back to the pavilion after being knocked down by Jaydev Unadkat during the match against SRH.

Hardik Pandya drew a lot of flak as he instructed Rohit Sharma to change his position while placing the fielders

Earlier, a video of Hardik Pandya from the opener match against Gujarat Titans went viral. In it, Hardik can be seen instructing Rohit Sharma to change his fielding position and go to the deep square leg. The video features Rohit being a bit confused and further asking Hardik if the latter is indicating him, to which he agrees. Moreover, such an incident didn't go well with the Hitman's fans, and they started trolling and abusing Hardik.

Irfan Pathan tags Hardik Pandya's captaincy as 'ordinary'

On the other hand, Irfan Pathan took to his X (previously Twitter) and penned some tweets after MI failed to win the game against SRH, and the latter team scored a record-breaking score. Ifran wrote that it was beyond his understanding why Hardik chose to keep Bumrah away. He also tagged Hardik's captaincy as 'ordinary'. Check out Irfan's tweet:
