2019 started off on a celebratory mood for Esha Deol, her husband Bharat Takhtani, their little one Radhya Takhtani and Deol-Takhtani family. A few days ago, during the #10yearchallenge, Esha shared a photo collage of herself, wherein on one side she kept her Dhoom still and on the other, she kept a sun-kissed picture flaunting her baby bump when she was pregnant with her ‘firstborn’. She captioned it, “#10yearchallenge from having the best abs to my gorgeous baby bump #awomansjourney #bestabs #babybump #proud #fit #mommy #bringiton”. Little did we know that to understand her hashtag, #bringiton, we had to read between the lines of her caption. Soon, Esha made an announcement of her one-year-old, Radhya being promoted to "BIG SISTER". The text atop Radhya’s picture could be read as, 'I'm being promoted to "BIG SISTER"' and the photo was too cute to handle.
Her first interview post the announcement of her being pregnant with second child, Esha shared the feelings of her and her husband, in an interview with Mumbai Mirror. Esha expressed, "Both of us (her and her businessman husband Bharat Takhtani) definitely wanted another baby as we grew up with siblings and wanted the same fun company for Radhya. The timing happened by the grace of God."
When asked how her parents and little Radhya's grandparents, Hema Malini and Dharmendra reacted on becoming grandparents again, Esha revealed the reaction of both the families. She retorted, "All the four grandparents are excited, for them the more the merrier." When Esha was pregnant with Radhya, she and Bharat flew to Greece for their babymoon. They had a beautiful maternity shoot in Santorini before they embarked the special phase of their lives.
When asked if they are planning another babymoon this time as well, Esha replied, "I don't think I can call it a babymoon the second time around as I can't go anywhere without my baby. I will take Radhya with me everywhere I go, so let's just call it a family vacation for Bharat, Radhya and me whenever we plan to travel."
Esha Deol has been actively involved in the dance ballet, Ramayan, produced by her mom and world-renowned Bharatanatyam dancer Hema Malini, wherein she charmed everyone with the portrayal of Sita. When asked how is she planning to manage this part of her life now, Esha answered, "The ballet is still going on as planned. And I will resume my professional commitments after my second child is born, the way I did after Radhya entered our lives." She concluded by saying, "For now, I’m loving every bit of being a mother hen, inside out." (Also Read: Is Sara Ali Khan Secretly Dating Her Kedarnath Co-Star Sushant Singh Rajput? Here's The Truth)
Recently in an interview with DNA, Hema Malini revealed that it’s Radhya who welcomes the mornings with her. Sharing that every morning, her little granddaughter Radhya comes in to play with her and her lipsticks, Hema ji stated, When I’m doing my make-up in the morning, she must sit on my lap. She also wants my purse. It is because of her that I’m carrying a small one. I also remind myself to keep the purse super-light.”
Elaborating on how earlier she used to hang her bigger handbag around Radhya’s neck and that would often fall while balancing it, “So, I’ve started using a smaller bag with lesser stuff inside it. I keep only the most important things in it, so Radhya can string it around and have fun.” Talking about her younger daughter, Ahana Deol’s son Darien, Hema ji shared that it’s not her lipsticks or handbag but her phone that gets his attention. She shared how he comes to her and says very sweetly, “Nani nani, give me the silver phone, no.” Taking about Darien’s fascination with his nani’s phone, Hema Malini went on to say, “He looks for it, takes it and runs off. He wants to see cartoons on it because his mother doesn’t let him use the phone.” (Also Read: Janhvi Kapoor And Khushi Kapoor Twinning On BFFs With Vogue Proves That They're 'BFFs For Life')
