The caption read:

“I've been advised time and again to stay calm and ignore these stupid fake tales but it's about time that I vocalise my sentiments. We're much more than a group of nepotism-driven, preferentially treated people. He also went on to clarify that nothing of this sort happened and that he did not marry Divyanka for her fame. Here is what he said to one of the leading newspapers. Take a look:

“Not true at all. There was no such endorsement offer. Initially, we ignored these rumours but Divyanka had an intuition that this would become a big issue. We are shocked to see how this has been blown out of proportion. We are both khuddar and self-made. I didn't marry Divyanka for her fame but fell for the person that she was and she knows it very well too.”

The self-made actor further added:

“I want to carve a different path for myself and I don't shy away from hard work... If I don't make it on my own, I won't have a story to tell our kids!"

Well said Vivek! The couple got married in July 2016 in an arranged marriage setup. Both have big shows in their hands and doing professionally well. Divyanka is busy with her hit tell-serial, Ye Hai Mohabbatein and Vivek is playing the lead in Ekta Kapoor’s horror show, Kavach…Kaali Shaktiyon Se

But, the question is that why it is such a big deal if a man is less famous than his wife or for that matter, even earning less? How does that make a difference if two people in a marriage truly love each other? Why does our patriarchal society has to make an issue out of it?
