The Pakistani entertainment world is filled with many talented celebs. But there are many celebrities, who are well qualified and have completed their education from eminent universities. They are one of the most sought-after actors/actresses of today’s generation, but they made sure to pursue their course before they got into acting.

From professional to double degrees, these celebs made sure that even after pursuing acting, if luck doesn’t favour them, they always have a degree as a backup plan. #1. Fahad Mirza

Model and actor, Fahad Mirza made his acting debut in 2012 with the show, Badi Aapa and was later seen in many shows like Mutthi Bhar Mitti, Main Deewani, Shanakht and many more. Talking about Fahad’s educational qualifications, the handsome actor did MBBS from Dow Medical College and was later trained in Plastic Reconstructive Surgery at Liaquat National Hospital.

#2. Momina Mustehsan

The most sought-after personality in Pakistan, Momina Mustehsan is one of the most successful singers in the glamour world. In 2014, she recorded a song, Awari for the Pakistani band, Soch, which was later used in the Bollywood film, Ek Villain. Her claim to fame came in 2016 when she marked her debut in Coke Studio season 9 with the ghazal, Afreen Afreen.

Momina pursued her A’Level from Lahore and later moved to the United States, where she graduated with a double Major in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Stony Brook University. In 2017, BBC named her one of the 100 most influential women.

#3. Fawad Khan

Fawad Khan enjoys a massive fanbase in Pakistan as well as India. The handsome actor stole everyone’s heart with his performance as ‘Asher Hussain’ in the popular Pakistani drama, Humsafar. Fawad began his acting career with the television sitcom, Jutt and Bond and made his film debut in 2007 in the film, Khuda Kay Liye. He was also seen in shows like DastaanZindagi Gulzar Hai and also did three Bollywood films, Khoobsurat, Kapoor and Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Talking about Fawad’s education, the handsome actor received a Bachelor’s degree in software engineering from the National University of Computer and Emerging Science (NUCES) in Lahore. Once in an interview with Forbes India, Fawad stated that since he couldn’t find a job as a programmer, he tried his luck in acting.

Former model, Aamina Sheikh is a Pakistan actress and songwriter. She is known for her performances in the shows, Dil e Nadan, Maat, Uraan, Mai Abdul Qadir Hoon and many others.

Aamina received her primary education in Karachi before she moved to Riyadh. She studied video production at Hampshire College in Massachusetts. After returning to Pakistan, Aamina got a job with Geo Television, where she directed and produced a children's talk show.

Pakistani actor and anchor, Nauman Ijaz has appeared in many dramas and films like Badi Aapa, Rehaai and a few others. He also appeared in many different roles, including negative roles in the dramas, Rehaee and Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi.

After his primary education, the actor went on to pursue Law from Punjab University, Lahore. Apart from being an actor, Nauman is also a lawyer by profession.

Hamza Ali Abbasi is a popular name in the Pakistani film industry. He started his acting career in 2006 with plays. The handsome actor is known for his roles in shows like Pyarey Afzal and Mann Mayal. His breakthrough performance in the film, Waar in 2013, gained him much wide recognition.

Talking about Hamza’s educational background, the actor did his Bachelor’s in International Relations from the United States. He later did a Master’s in the same subject from Quaid-e-Azam University. He also passed the CSS exams and worked as a civil service officer in the police department for some time. However, he left his job to pursue his passion for acting and filmmaking.

One of the popular names in Pakistani films and dramas, Ainy Jaffri made her debut in 2010. In 2018, Ainy appeared in the serial, Tajdeed-e-Wafa and took a break. After a hiatus of four years, Ainy made her comeback with the web series, Mandi

Ainy graduated in Commerce from McGill University, Canada. After her graduation, Ainy got a job in an advertising company in Singapore. However, she quit her job and came back to Pakistan to pursue her dream of acting.

Pakistani model-turned-actor, Imran Abbas began his acting career in 2003 with the show, Umrao Jaan Ada. He gained huge popularity after his role as 'Hammad Raza' in the series, Khuda Aur Mohabbat. The handsome actor also made his Bollywood debut with the film, Creature 3D, opposite Bipasha Basu. Besides his acting career, Imran holds a degree in Architecture from the National College of Arts, Lahore.

Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui is popular for his role in the film, Parey Hut Love. The handsome Pakistani celebrity, Bilal Ashraf started his career as a visual effects director and later pursued his career in acting. He has starred in films like Janaan, Yalghaar and Superstar. In 2019, Bilaal was ranked number 7th on ‘Sexiest Asian Men’ in a UK magazine.
