Himani Shivpuri has worked with Salman Khan on several films, including 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun.' Recently, she recalled his behaviour and antics on the film set.
Himani Shivpuri is a common face in Hindi films and daily soap operas. She has played a variety of roles with equal conviction. However, one of her most iconic roles has been in the film, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! In the film's release in 1994, she played the character of 'Dr Razia' and worked with actors like Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit. Recently, she opened up about her experience working with Salman Khan on the film.
Salman Khan was relatively new when he starred in Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! Unlike the megastar he is now, Salman was young when he starred in the film, which later became a massive box-office success. Himani Shivpuri shared in her interview with Bollywood Hungama that she first met Salman on the sets of that film. She revealed that in one particular scene, the Kick actor suddenly picked her up, which surprised everyone on the set, including her. She was quoted as saying:
"The first time I met Salman, I remember Sooraj Barjatya explained the scene to us and he said okay. Suddenly, while filming the scene, Salman says, 'Chachi jaan,' and he lifts me up."

Himani was momentarily stunned. She instinctively gave him a playful slap since she came from a theatre background. The reaction surprised everyone further, including the film director, Sooraj Barjatya. At the same time, he liked the natural, playful exchange and decided to keep the scene in the film.
Salman Khan is known to care of his co-stars and the crew of his films. So, Himani shared an incident related to it. Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! was both produced and directed by Sooraj Barjatya. His production company, Rajshri Productions, served only vegetarian meals on the film set. As a result, Salman Khan used to bring homemade biryani for the whole cast and crew. She recalled it saying:
"Salman was such a brat. It was wonderful working with him. He would also bring food from his home – biryani and all. On the sets of Hum Aapke Hai Koun, they only served vegetarian food. So, he would bring biryani on Eid and we all used to have it. He was also a big prankster."

Himani Shivpuri pursued acting at the National School of Drama. She began her journey by playing a supporting actress on the TV show, Phir Wahi Talash. Next, Himani made her film debut with Ab Ayega Mazaa in 1984. She worked in popular films like Trimurti, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Khamoshi: The Musical, Pardes, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, among others. Moreover, Himani has extensive experience working on television shows like Sasural Simar Ka, Doli Armaano Ki, and Happu Ki Ultan Pultan.
