Himansh Kohli opened up about his breakup with Neha Kakkar, the hateful comments he has been receiving from the past two years and trolls, who keep on reminding him of his ex’s marriage.
The ‘Queen of Remixes’ and number one singer of B-town, Neha Kakkar’s personal life has always been in the limelight and her relationships had become the talk of the town in the past. It was two years ago, in 2018, when the question of ‘are they dating?’ or ‘aren’t they dating?’ had surrounded the Oh Humsafar fame couple, Neha and Himansh Kohli. Though they had maintained their just-friends stance, the pictures and captions had told a different story. Towards the end of the year, Neha and Himansh had made their breakup Insta-official and post that, while Neha was open about the heartbreak, Himansh had maintained silence. A lot was said and written about Neha Kakkar and Himansh Kohli’s relationship and mostly, the actor was trolled and blamed for leaving the singer heartbroken. However, a few months after making their breakup Insta-official, Neha had requested her fans to not blame Himansh for the same and putting wrong allegations on him. Himansh too, had broken silence on their breakup a year later and wished Neha happiness and good health. 2020 changed Neha’s life for better as she embarked on the journey of marriage as Mrs Singh. Neha had tied the knot with Rohanpreet Singh in October but even after her marriage, her ex, Himansh wasn’t spared by the netizens.
In an interview with the SpotboyE, Himansh Kohli decided to open up about his breakup with Neha Kakkar, the hateful comments he has been receiving from the past two years and trolls, who keep on reminding him of his ex’s marriage again and again. To begin with, Himansh talked about the moments when pathetic comments on social media had spoilt his mood, "I have been ignoring such memes, DMs, comments, mentions, posts for two years now. I have been targeted by pathetic statements on social media which have literally spoilt my mood at that moment innumerable times. Think about talking about your happy days, your special moments, your new projects, or simply wishing someone birthday, and all the comments are about your past relationship which didn't work out. I still get those, and I thought it's time to put an end to it once and for all."
A few days ago, Himansh Kohli had called out a fake video, in which he could be seen apologising to Neha Kakkar. He had posted an IG story and had written, "I wonder when such manipulative content will be banned from social media. And who is benefitting from all this nonsense? What's more upsetting is that people are sharing this actively. Please wake up and stop spreading the hatred and this fake post" atop it. Reacting to the same, Himansh said in the interview, "While I always believe that it's best to avoid, I thought this particular content piece looked like it was made to defame me and was gaining traction. So, I thought to call it out and tell my fans that it's fake before more people start abusing me on social media only because two people didn't work out. Honestly, I can manage all this with ease. I have been raised right and strong enough to deal with my issues." (Also Read: Disha Parmar And Rahul Vaidya Already Engaged? She Finally Reacts To His Wedding Proposal [Video])
Speaking of how it affects his parents and how he feels putting them through something like this, Himansh Kohli stated, "I don't feel scared for myself, but for my parents, because I don't want their name to be tarnished, especially due to a controversy that I have no role in. It took some time for my parents to worry less about all the messages sent to them. People didn't even think once before abusing them through DMs and comments questioning their integrity. They had to deal with all that because they are my parents and it's an awful feeling to put your parents through something like this. But they are wise and evolved with ease, but people need to evolve too."
Giving a message to the netizens, who keep reminding him that his ex, Neha Kakkar is married to Rohanpreet Singh now, Himansh Kohli said, "I really want to request everyone who comments, "Bhai Nehu ki shaadi ho gayi" ki mujhe pata hai. I'm happy for the newlywed couple and I'm happy for myself. I am sick of the baseless trolling. And if people are really interested to only make fun of me, at least talk about relevant and recent things."
