Himanshi Khurana talked in detail about the issues in her past relationship and how the judgement from people affected her as they did not know the actual reason of her split with Asim Riaz.
Himanshi Khurana and Asim Riaz, a power couple in Tinseltown, found love in the most unexpected place, the popular reality show, Bigg Boss 13. Their passion, which transcended their diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, was a source of inspiration for many. Even after the show, their love stood firm. However, a few months back, the couple revealed that they are no longer together owing to their religious differences. Neither Asim nor Himanshi ever talked about the reason for their split until recently, when the latter shared bits and pieces of the actual cause of the split and how it affected her.
Himanshi Khurana recently sat for an conversation at ABP Live’s Health Conclave Punjab 2024, wherein she revealed that one thing that affects her till date about her past relationship is the judgement that followed. Himanshi added that she is okay being the villain but the way people twisted her words is something she is not okay with. She never shared her side of the story as she didn't want things to be a public matter, but that doesn't mean that she cheated on Asim or she is the reason for the split. Himanshi further added:
“I don’t mind being the villain, because at the end of the day whether you have 11 million or 20 million followers, aap akele hote ho. Mujhe laga health se upar kuch nhi, kyunki mere mental health pe aa gyi thi ye baat."
Himanshi explained that she decided to separate from Asim because of certain issues in their relationship but never disclosed it. However, people took advantage of her silence and used her statements to twist them. This initially affected her a lot but now she is gradually getting accustomed to it. She further added:
"Agar app koi cheez se step out kaar rahe ho, that means koi problem thi. Isseliye aap step out kaar rahe ho. Log kya karte hai na, ussi cheez ko gol gol ghumake, apke against use karte hai."

A few days back, a source close to Himanshi Khurana revealed to a leading news portal about how the Punjabi actress was extremely hurt and disturbed over her breakup with her ex-beau, Asim Riaz. The close source even mentioned that Himanshi had taken a lot of time to move on, yet she isn’t ready to speak about it. However, such unacknowledged reports were soon corrected by Himanshi herself, as she penned a note on her social media handle about it. Adding how she prefers the luxury of privacy in her personal life, more than anything else, Himanshi’s note read as:
“My biggest flex is that nobody ever knows what’s really going on in my life. Where I am, or my next move, unless I make it known. Therefore anything anyone says is just an assumption. Privacy is my luxury. Privacy is my peace. Better do not try to be my close source.”
Right after the news of their breakup surfaced on the internet, Asim Riaz had dropped another note on his social media handle, that highlighted his side of the story to the major decision of his life. Asim expressed that he indeed broke-up with Himanshi, and added sacrificing their love for one another due to religious differences. These differences, he clarified, were not just about their faiths, but also about the way they wanted to practice their beliefs in their daily lives. He mentioned:
“Yes Indeed we both agreed to sacrifice our love for our respective religious beliefs. We both are 30+ and we have full right to take these mature decisions and we made it. We’ve decided to part ways amicably, embracing our individual journeys. Respect for Himanshi and our diverse path and yes indeed i told her to write the real reason for our separation. Request you to all to respect our privacy."
