After revealing that she was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, Hina Khan shared when exactly she got to know about the same in a video post.
Popular actress, Hina Khan etched her name in the hearts of millions with her role as 'Akshara' in the daily soap, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. After leaving the show, she has gained immense popularity with her roles in other serials and films. However, recently, the actress disclosed that she has been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.
On July 1, 2024, Hina took to her Instagram account to share how she got to know about her cancer. In the video, Hina was first seen in an all-glam avatar, attending a red carpet and also receiving an award. In the next part, the actress was seen walking in the hallway of a hospital, and she said that she was getting her first chemo that day.

She posted the video along with a courageous note and revealed that she was informed about the diagnosis while attending an awards show. Moreover, Hina mentioned that she consciously made a choice to normalise this, and she took this as an opportunity to reinvent herself. The actress also disclosed that she went to the hospital immediately after the award show. Her note can be read as:

On June 30, 2024, Hina took to her Instagram stories and posted a note encouraging all cancer fighters. In the note titled 'A window to my journey,' the actress addressed all the courageous men and women who have been fighting this tough battle and added that she hopes to inspire people in their battles. In her words:
"A window to my journey. This is to all those courageous women and men who are fighting this tough battle. I wish my journey can be courageous and motivating enough for people out there to turn a page in their own stories for good. And remember, we may be SCARRED, but we MUST not be SCARED."

On June 28, 2024, Hina took to her Instagram account to reveal that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. This came after reports surfaced in the media claiming the same. She shared a image post and disclosed that her treatment has begun and she's trying to stay strong. In her words:
"Hello everyone, To address the recent rumours, I want to share some important news with all the Hinaholics and everyone who loves and cares for me. I have been diagnosed with Stage Three breast cancer. Despite this challenging diagnosis, I want to reassure everyone that I am doing well. I am strong, determined and truly committed to overcoming this disease. My treatment has already begun and I am ready to do everything necessary to emerge from this even stronger."
