Honey Singh Advices Youth To Not Go To Psychiatrist, Says 'Mummy Pass Baitho, Dost Se Baat Karo'

Indian singer and rapper, Honey Singh shared not to go to a psychiatrist. He also explained how difficult his life became after he suffered from bipolar disorder.

Indian rapper, Honey Singh had gone through the worse phase in his life, that too when he was at the peak of his career. His songs are stills sung as an anthem amongst the youth. He proved that with hard work, anything could happen. However, when Honey Singh was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, he suffered a lot. Recently, Honey Singh talked about his struggles and his advice to not go to a psychiatrist for anxiety or depression.

Honey Singh advised the youth not to go to a psychiatrist 

Recently, in an interview with Pune Times Internet, Honey Singh was asked about his opinion on mental health. To this, he said anxiety and depression are like a cold and cough, and one should not visit a physiatrist for it. According to Honey Singh, one should address it and talk to their mother or friend. He also advised that one should not drink if he/she has depression. He said:

"Ye sardi, jhukham jaisa hai. Isko mental health mein mat count kro, psychiatrist pass mat jao. Mummy ko batao mai udaas hoon, dost ke pass jao. Baat karo, vo joke sunayega, gana suna dega. Anxiety jaisa kuch nai hai, yeh wahi hai jo exam se pahle hoti thi."

Honey Singh, who has been through a lot, shared that when he was suffering from bipolar disorder, he wished for death every day. He added that he had become a workaholic and an alcoholic. And it took him three years to understand his health problem. Honey Singh added doctors experimented on him and gave him a bundle of medicines.

In 2022, Honey Singh announced his relationship with Tina Thadani. He called her the one who had given him a new birth. At an event, he also revealed that she is the one who had given him his name, "Honey Singh 3.0".

For the uninitiated, Honey Singh and Shalini were childhood sweethearts and have known each other for seventeen years. Honey Singh tied the knot with Shalini Singh on January 23, 2011. When Honey entered the world of singing, he hid his relationship status. However, after some time he introduced Shalini as his wife on his reality show, India's Raw Star.
