Answer: Almost everyone uses perfume on a daily basis, but very few people know the best (or rather the proper) way of applying it. Let us tell you how to make your fragrance last for a longer time and feel fresh all day long.

Here are few key points that you should not miss out on, while wearing your fragrance.

1. Always apply perfume on your pulse points. These are the points where blood vessels are located closest to your skin, such as the wrists, crook of the elbow, back of the knees, cleavage and neck. Be careful to dab or to lightly spray, do not crush the smell by rubbing your wrists together. Doing this will certainly diminish its effects.

2. Remember that the scent will fade away faster if you apply it on a dry skin. Best trick is to apply petroleum jelly before applying the fragrance.

3. Add some perfume to your handkerchief or tissue for some extra scent. Alternatively, lightly spray the fragrance on a cotton wool ball and pop it inside your top. As your body heat reacts with it, the scent will rise and you will smell fresh all day.

4. Spray a small amount of perfume into the air in front of you and walk through it. This way your whole body will be immersed in a light spray of scent. But, if you are using your perfume on a tight budget then do not do this, as it lets a lot of fragrance go waste.

5. Always layer your fragrance. To layer scents means to use beauty products with the same smell. Use a body lotion, moisturiser, body mist, shower gel or deodorant spray to add longer-lasting and additional layer to your perfume.

Remember to apply your fragrance before you put-on your clothes or jewellery. Certain perfumes can leave stains on fabrics and metals. So, you would not want to spoil your dress. Use these simple tips to apply your perfume properly, and allow your fragrance to stay with you for a longer time.
