In the upcoming episode of the musical show, 'Naam Reh Jaega', Hridaynath Mangeshkar opened up about his late sister, Lata Mangeshkar and revealed why she wasn't happy after winning Bharat Ratna.
The late legendary singer, Lata Mangeshkar is one of the greatest singers of all time and needs no introduction. From recording songs in 36 different languages to winning numerous awards, including the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1989, Lata Mangeshkar was the first Indian to perform at the Royal Albert Hall, London. However, unfortunately, on February 6, 2022, she had passed away due to multiple organ failures.
After Lata Mangeshkar's demise on February 6, 2022, the legendary singer was cremated with full state honour at the Shivaji Park, Mumbai. From renowned celebrities, politicians, and industrialists to well-known people of the nation, everyone was in attendance to bid farewell to the singing legend, who had changed everything in the Indian music industry with her singing chops.

According to a report in the Indian Express, in the finale episode of the musical reality show, Naam Reh Jaega, Hridaynath Mangeshkar, his Usha Mangeshkar had graced the show. The brother-sister duo shared multiple things about their late sister, Lata Mangeshkar, and recalled some of her fondest memories. When Hridaynath Mangeshkar was asked to open up about his bond with his late sister and iconic singer, the doting brother shared that she was extremely close to him. Hridaynath also shared that when his sister had won the Bharat Ratna, she wasn't happy about it. Revealing the reason behind it, he said:
"She always wanted me to win an award, that was her dream. When she won the Bharat Ratna, she didn't celebrate it, but when I got a Padma Shri, she celebrated it like a festival."
Going further in the report, Usha Mangeshkar also opened up about her late sister and singer, Lata Mangeshkar and shared how the latter was always quite open about feedback. Usha also added that Lata used to respect everyone's opinions, but it was Meena Mangeshkar's feedback that had mattered to her the most. Reflecting on the beautiful bond that Lata used to share with their sister, Meena said:
"Meena-tai used to always stay with Lata-didi during the recording. After recording in the studio, Lata-di would ask Meena-tai for her thoughts on the song. She would only give a go-ahead for the song after Meena's approval. She trusted her a lot."

In an earlier episode of the musical show, Naam Reh Jaega, dedicated to Lata Mangeshkar, the latter sister and iconic singer, Asha Bhosle had made a visit to the show. During her appearance on the show, Asha had talked about the impact of her sister's demise on her life. Reflecting on the same, Asha had admitted that she couldn't believe the fact that her sister was no longer with her. While heaping praises on her, Asha had recalled the time when Lata Mangeshkar used to take care of their entire family as she used to earn Rs. 80. Recalling the good old days, Asha Bhosle had said:
"Didi used to earn 80/- and we used to run our household in that money. We were 5 people, and we used to have many relatives who would visit us. Didi never said no to anyone, she used to believe in sharing. There were times we used to buy Kurmura (Puffed Rice) for 2 Annas and used to eat that with tea and sleep. We had no complaints, they were simply happy times. can't believe she is gone. I still think I will get a call anytime saying, 'Asha, kashi aahes tu?'."
