Hrithik Roshan's 2006 superhero film, Krrish, is still etched in the minds of his millions of fans. The film never misses the chance to entertain the audience despite the number of times it is shown. After its release, the film became the fourth-highest-grossing film of the year and made a huge earning of over Rs. 69 crore in India alone. It became a 'blockbuster-hit' and grossed Rs. 31.68 crore overseas.

Mickey Dhamejani played Hrithik Roshan's younger version in Krrish

Apart from Hrithik Roshan's stint in the film, it was also his younger version, played by the child artist, Mickey Dhamejani, who caught much attention. People still remember how the little kid did justice to his role and perfectly enacted Hrithik's childhood self. However, the child artist has made a remarkable transition in his life, which is simply unmissable.

Mickey Dhamejani's career in the acting field

The former child artist, Mickey Dhamejani made his acting debut with the popular sitcom, Gharwali Uparwali Aur Sunny, in 2000. He was seen in the role of 'Sunny' in the same. Following this, he made his debut in Bollywood with the 2003 film, Ishq Vishk, co-starring Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao and others. However, his stint in Hrithik Roshan's younger version in the film, Krrish gave him immense stardom. Afterwards, he was seen in more than 200 advertisements before he stepped away from the film and television industry and embarked on an alternative career. Mickey’s last acting stint was in Eat, Pray, Love... alongside Julia Roberts.

Mickey Dhamejani, who played Hrithik Roshan’s younger version in Krrish, is now an eye surgeon

Now, Mickey is a successful ophthalmologist, who runs his clinic Dr. Mickey’s Eyes Health Care Centre. Talking about his education, Mickey holds an MBBS degree from MGM Institute of Health Sciences in Mumbai. He did his specialization with an MS in Ophthalmology from Muzaffarnagar Medical College in Uttar Pradesh. He completed his apprenticeship at Muzaffarnagar Medical College.

Additionally, according to a report in The Times of India, Mickey has attained certifications from the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) and the Fellowship of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO). Not only this, he has earlier worked as a doctor at MGM Hospital and Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital.

Mickey Dhamejani once revealed his wish to make a comeback in a Karan Johar project

Mickey Dhamejani has made a remarkable career transition from acting to medicine. He once took to his IG handle and shared a nostalgic post from his clinic. The post went viral on social media, and the handsome doctor reminded his fans of his stint in the Hrithik Roshan starrer film. Sharing the video, he wrote:

“Guess you’ve seen me before? Oh, definitely you have! I had the incredible opportunity to play Jr. Krrish and work alongside a super talented cast in a film that was truly a joy to be part of. My journey from being a child actor to becoming an eye surgeon has been nothing short of amazing. The transition has been filled with wonderful experiences and exceptional learnings, shaping who I am today. The lessons from my acting days continue to inspire my work in eye care, and I'm grateful for every step of this unique path. I could now be a superhero to your eye care."

Earlier, in a chat with the Hindustan Times, Mickey revealed his wish to make a possible return to the film industry. However, he mentioned that he would always keep his medical career on the cards. He said:

"It feels nice to be in the limelight yet again. The intention, however, was never to go viral; things happened organically. Yes, I am open to opportunities in Bollywood and Hollywood. In fact, I am in talks for a Bollywood project. However, my family and I will decide together (if and what to take up). I would like to be part of a Karan Johar or Yash Raj project. But the purpose is not just to become a mainstream movie star. I am after all, an ophthalmologist. I would want to channelise whatever opportunities come my way, for greater good of society.”

Mickey Dhamejani once opened up about Hrithik Roshan's guidance in his life

Mickey had also recalled fond memories from the sets of Koi… Mil Gaya and Krrish. He was heard sharing how Hrithik played a vital role in helping him learn a huge lot of things about acting. Revealing how the Greek God of Bollywood once invited him to his house to teach him hand movements and body language, Mickey shared in the same conversation:

"I remember a drive from Chandigarh to Manali. I was sitting in the same car with Hrithik. During those days, my results were announced, and he had gifted me and my sister bounty chocolates. He even invited me to his house and coached me, teaching me his hand movements and body language since I portrayed a young version of him in the film."

In a recent interview with Free Press Journal, Mickey was asked if it was his conscious decision to shift from acting to medicine. The former child artist explained that it was a conscious decision since his grandfather was a doctor. Moreover, he mentioned that his parents wanted him to focus on studies as he was always good at academics.
