One of the greatest lyricists in the history of Indian cinema, Anand Bakshi is often remembered as the songwriter of the aam aadmi of this nation. The reason behind it was his incredible art, which he used to connect with the lives of common people across the nation. In his illustrious career, he penned numerous iconic songs like Pyar Deewana hota hai, Zindagi ke safar mein, Ye zami ga rahi hai, Do dil mil rahe hain, Chitthi na koi sandesh, Kahin aag lage, Aaj mausam bada, and many more.

Although everyone is aware of his greatness as a lyricist, not much is known about his personal life in the media, even to this day. For the unversed, Anand Bakshi was married to Kamla Mohan Bakshi, and the couple was blessed with four kids, Suman Datt, Kavita Bali, Rajesh Bakshi and Rakesh Bakshi. In his lifetime, Anand Bakshi had hardly talked about his wife and kids in his interviews. The writer had always kept them away from showbiz as much as possible. That is the reason why some people have never seen Anand Bakshi's wife's face. However, we recently stumbled upon two rare pictures of the couple.

Every year on July 21, the entire nation is coloured in the words of Anand Bakshi, as it is the day when back in 1930, he was born in Rawalpindi. After the partition, his family arrived in Delhi, where he was bought up and spent his entire childhood. Returning to Anand Bakshi's personal life, it was his son, Rakesh Bakshi, who had shared the last picture of his father, Anand Bakshi and his mother, Kamla Mohan Bakshi, together from their visit to Bhilar, Mahabaleshwar. The priceless picture was shared by Rakesh Bakshi on the internet in one of his articles. In the picture, Anand Bakshi looked handsome in a crisp white shirt, blue denim, and a cowboy hat. While his wife, Kamla Mohan Bakshi, opted for a blue-coloured saree and looked outstanding in it. Check it out!

Recently, we stumbled upon another picture of Anand Bakshi with his wife, Kamla Mohan Bakshi, and it was a monochrome one. In the picture, the husband-wife duo looked absolutely stunning in their respective outfits. While a young Anand Bakshi looked quite handsome and could be seen donning a half-sleeved shirt, on the other hand, Kamla Mohan Bakshi also looked gorgeous in a saree, and it was her hairstyle that caught our attention the most. The picture is truly special for the fans of the iconic lyricist.

Once in an interview with Filmfare Magazine, Anand Bakshi had recalled his struggling days and shared how his parents and his wife, Kamla Mohan Bakshi had suffered due to his passion. The lyricist had admitted that his family had started worrying about his and their future because Anand Bakshi wasn't getting a major break in Mumbai. The songwriter had even added that there was a time when his parents had strictly told him to stop dreaming about becoming a lyricist in the Hindi film industry. He had said:

"So after three years, I came back to Bombay once again. By then I'd married and had a daughter. My wife and my parents thought I was simply wasting my time. They told me to stop dreaming and to concentrate on my job. But I was adamant."

For the unversed, it was on March 30, 2002, when Anand Bakshi had passed away due to multiple organ failure at the age of 72.
