A wedding album is a souvenir of your special day that you and your family will cherish lifelong. Looking at a wedding album is a ritual every family member and friend of yours will go through. So instead of the regular, huge album that the photographer creates for you (and every other couple), isn’t it a better idea to make your own wedding scrapbook that is uniquely you? A personalized wedding scrapbook will evoke more emotions and nostalgia than a professionally made album. Here are some innovative ideas for your wedding scrapbook.

Make It A Family Affair

The wedding might be over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t continue the festivities by having a post-wedding “making a wedding scrapbook party”. Invite your close family and friends and give each of them a task to help you make the scrapbook. Or even better, assign them 1-2 photographs and let each of them make one page the way they want to and assemble all the pages together to make the scrapbook. It will be the most exclusive wedding scrapbook, and looking back on it you will not only remember the wedding celebrations but also have fond memories of bonding with your family and friends.

Up The Wedding Scrapbook Tempo

If you had a theme wedding, continue the same design in your scrapbook. Use embellishments, knick-knacks and memorabilia to decorate alongside the photographs. For instance, if you had a destination wedding, stick your flight tickets or stationary from your hotel room. Draw small figurines or symbols that represent your theme. Adding trimmings and souvenirs from your wedding will make the scrapbook come alive and make it interesting and give a better picture of your wedding to viewers. Even if you didn’t have a theme wedding, you can have a theme for your wedding scrapbook. You can also dress it up in color palette of your choice or use specific add-ons like ribbons, flowers, feathers, etc.

Unleash Your Creativity

Tell your story as a couple in your wedding scrapbook. The first page can be a concise, humorous story of how you met and what you love about each other. This can be followed by a series of pictures from the time you met to the engagement to the wedding in a sequential format including your pre-wedding ceremonies and honeymoon. Add funny one-liners to describe some amusing pictures or ask a friend who has a knack for such creative writing to do it for you. Add thought or speech bubbles next to people in the photographs and add witty quotes. You can also ask your family and friends themselves to provide their entertaining one-liners to go alongside their favorite photo.
