Imran Khan spills beans about his uncle, Aamir Khan not preferring to attend award functions, where he has scored quite a few achievements.
Imran Khan, who rose to fame with his chocolate-boy image in the films like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, I Hate Luv Storys, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, has been in the limelight for quite some time now, owing to speculations regarding his comeback to films. The talented actor, who is the nephew of superstar, Aamir Khan has been spilling beans on many interviews, as he teased his fans with newer updates on his next film. Amid it all, he recently divulged a special anecdote about his uncle, Aamir.
In a recent interaction in an episode of Chilli Sesh along with eminent comedians like Sapan Verma, Raunaq Rajani and Prashasti Singh, Imran Khan opened up about the entire Khan family’s preference to opt out for the vanity and glamour that comes with the successes in the film industry. Explaining a bit more, he remarked how his uncle, Aamir Khan is dedicated more in working hard towards his craft, and is doesn't wish to be a part of the glitz and glamour that is a part of it, such as award shows. He said:
“We take our craft seriously and put our heart into it. The rest of it, the glamour and celebrity, is just the sprinkling on the top, which you shouldn’t be enamoured with.”

For the unversed, Imran Khan is a doting father for his daughter, Imara, whom he co-parents amicably with his ex-wife, Avantika Malik. The duo has decided to split the custody of their daughter together, and Imara spends equal times with both her parents. In an earlier conversation with the Hindustan Times, Imran divulged that he hasn’t kept a nanny for his daughter, and duly performs all responsibilities for her himself. He expressed:
“I do all of the stuff for Imara without any nanny. I drive her to school myself in the morning. I pick her up. The limited amount of cooking that I can do, I do for her. I put her to bed. And that also is something that I was very conscious… rather than going off and trying to act in movies while I’m depressed. I was like, forget that. The most important thing is she should have the memory and the experience that in my childhood, my dad was the one who would drive me to school.”
In one of his other interviews with Vogue India, Imran Khan revealed the reason behind his decision to quit films. He mentioned having reached a rough spot in 2016 as he felt broken from inside. Imran said he felt broken from inside, and wished to fix himself, especially for his daughter, Imara. Thus, he brought about a plethora of changes in his lifestyle, that included moving out of his lavish bungalow in Pali Hill, to even letting go of his Ferrari.

Previously, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Imran Khan claimed that he willingly kept his relationship with his girlfriend, Lekha Washington hushed-up, so as to avoid unnecessary complications over his past life. He remarked keeping it safe from the wild media reporting and speculations, especially his broken marriage and divorce. In his words:
“I have consciously tried to shield this part because of the complications of me divorcing and ending my marriage, which is always something that gets everyone, it's a very goss topic, which then leads to wild speculation. I was trying to shield from that ugliness and then in the aftermath of that, starting a new relationship. The weird threads that get attached to it, I have really tried to shield that part of my life and my relationship from public scrutiny."
