Krutika Desai had tied the knot with Yaadon Ki Baaraat actor and Sholay fame, Amjad Khan’s brother, Imtiaz Khan and the two were blessed with a daughter, Ayesha Khan. Krutika and Imtiaz rarely made any public appearances together, but were known as one of the happiest couples of B-town. On March 16, 2020, Imtiaz took his last breath and if the reports are to be believed, he suffered a heart attack. Condolences have started to pour in and the late actor-director’s close friends have been posting heartfelt notes for him on social media.
Javed Jaaferi tweeted, “Veteran actor #ImtiazKhan passes on. Worked with him in #Gang. Superb actor and wonderful human being.#RIP bhai.” Anju Mahendroo too, posted a group picture with Amjad and Imtiaz and wrote, “Once upon a time!!! Rest in eternal peace my friend@Imtiaz Khan.” Trade analyst confirmed the news and tweeted, “#SadNews Hindi Film Actor #ImtiazKhan, Son of Veteran Actor Jayant, brother of late #AmjadKhan and husband of Gujarati Stage - Film and TV Actress Krutika Desai passed away today. He was seen in films like #YaadonKiBaaraat #Dharmatma #Dayavan. Our prayers with the family.”
In a throwback interview with a media portal, Krutika Desai had revealed how she and her husband, Imtiaz Khan were different. She had stated, “My husband Imtiaz and I are different. Religion, our ways of looking at life, food choices (he’s non-vegetarian and I’m vegetarian) differ. But we’re happy because we accept our differences and work towards being on the same page as much as possible.”
Krutika Desai had also elaborated on the subjectiveness of being an odd match and had shared, “Conventionally, people think that two individuals from similar backgrounds might click. But some also believe that extreme opposites work because each partner brings something different to the table. Within the entertainment industry, you’ll find both kinds of couples.
