Kim Soo-Hyun's agency, Gold Medalist allegedly gave threats to an Indian blogger amid the controversy around Kim Sae-Ron's demise.
Kim Soo-Hyun has found himself in the midst of controversy with his alleged girlfriend, Kim Sae-Ron's demise. For the unversed, allegations about Kim Soo-Hyun have been that he dated Kim Sae-Ron since the time she was a minor. Kim Soo-Hyun's agency, has dismissed the claims and revealed that the couple had been together for one year only. On the other hand, Gold Medalist, which is Kim Soo-Hyun's agency has requested a private meeting with Kim Sae-Ron's mom, who demanded an apology from the actor. Amid the controversy taking its peak, an Indian blogger reportedly got threats from the agency, Gold Medalist.
An influencer, whose IG handle goes by the name, "@ckdramaboy" shared a series of screenshots from a legal mail from Kim Soo-Hyun's agency, Gold Medalist. As per the photos, the agency has asked for the removal of the content featuring unauthorised use of the images of the actor. In the shared screengrabs, it was clearly stated by the influencer that he shared it not for the sake to harm anyone, but for transparency. He also stated that his K-drama fan page was at risk of being taken down. He further mentioned that he would keep fighting for the justice of Kim Sae-Ron's demise.
Earlier, Gold Medalist has issued a statement, wherein they denied Kim Sae-Ron and Kim Soo-Hyun's 6-year-long relationship and stated that they were together for a year. The agency also asked Kim Sae-Ron's mom to have a private meeting. This statement reportedly left the late actress' family even more furious. Now, through the Garosero Research Institute YouTube channel, Kim Sae-Ron's father revealed that the actor's agency has been continuously trying to be in contact with them.
Gold Medalist repeatedly called and messaged Kim Sae-Ron's dad even after he made sure to contact them on Monday. Sae Ron's father expressed his frustration over the agency and the other alleged for not acknowledging that their actions instigated the actress' demise. He also shared the screengrabs of the calls and messages from Gold Medalist, which left the netizens furious, who questioned the agency's action towards the family in this tough time. It was further pointed out by the netizens how none of the agency's representatives and even Kim Soo-Hyun were present at Kim Sae-Ron's funeral, which further left everyone furious.
On March 16, 2025, another statement was released by Sae Ron's family, wherein they, as a reply to Gold Medalist's previous, statement, said that no one had informed the actress that the 'certified mail' from them was done for a legal procedure in her state of confusion, and instead when she tried to contact the company representatives, they remained unresponsive. He mentioned that the recent statement by Gold Medalist seemed to be drafted by top-tier legal counsel for reputational fallout matters rather than providing clarity or addressing ethical concerns. He said:
"Bringing up an absurd ’embezzlement’ talk does that make those actions right. So, please stop playing these childish games. At no point did anyone from GOLD MEDALIST reach out to Sae Ron and tell her not to be surprised. No one told her that the legal notice was part of a legal process that the agency was following.”
