Not many know that the Board of Council for Cricket in India (BCCI) provides multiple sources of income that help these cricketers earn crores every year. Besides per-match fees, Indian cricketers received an annual salary as part of their contract. According to a report first published in GQ, Grade A+ contracts earn Rs. 7 crores per year, while those in Grade A earn Rs 5 crore annually. On the other hand, Grad B and C contracts earn Rs. 3 crores and Rs 1 crore annually. Let's take a look at four cricketers, who are paid the highest salary!

#1. Rohit Sharma earns a salary of Rs. 7 Crores annually 

The famous cricketer and captain of the current cricket team, Rohit Sharma, is loved by millions because of his excellent gaming skills. The 36-year-old cricketer has led the team to many historic wins. He is one of the four cricketers in India, who secured a Grade A+ contract from BCCI in 2023. And it entitles him to an annual salary of Rs. 7 crores. The cricketer is known for holding several international records.

Virat Kohli is one of the richest cricketers in the world. With immense hard work, Virat created a huge name in International cricket, he is the one, who broke Sachin Tendulkar's record of 49 ODI hundreds. While Virat has stepped down from the position of captainship, he remains an important player. With his explosive batting skills and exceptional fielding on the pitch, BCCI offered him a Grade A+ contract, and he too, earns an annual salary of Rs. 7 crores.

Ravinder Jadeja is hailed as the lethal spinner, he has been the engine behind India's amazing performance in the 2023 World Cup. It was earlier this year, Ravindra Jadeja was promoted from Grade A to Grade A+ by BCCI. The left-arm orthodox spinner already took 14 wickets in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. He also earns an annual salary of Rs. 7 crores and is one of the highest earners in the Indian Premier League.

Jasprit Bumrah is another important player in the Indian cricket team. He is hailed as an amazing bowler. The cricketer, who embraced fatherhood earlier this year, was offered a Grad A+ contract by the BCCI at the beginning of 2023, which entitles him to a salary of Rs. 7 crores per year.
