In a recent interview, Indraneil Sengupta talked about the rumours surrounding his tiff with his wife, Barkha Sengupta. Check it out!
Television actors, Indraneil Sengupta and Barkha Bisht had met on the sets of Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Raadha, Ek Shyaam, and had fallen in love with each other gradually. A year after the premiere of the show, Indraneil had proposed Barkha Bisht on her birthday, and finally, on March 2, 2008, the lovebirds had tied the knot. Three years later, Indraneil and Barkha had embraced parenthood with the arrival of their little angel, Meira.
Barkha Sengupta and Indraneil Sengupta had celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary on March 2, 2021. And, to mark the same, Indraneil had posted some breathtakingly beautiful pictures of Barkha, and she had posted a video, comprising of some cherishable memories with him. In the video, Barkha had also given a glimpse of their anniversary celebrations, for which the lovebirds had twinned in white. Alongside it, Barkha had written:
“13 years back I said ‘yes’ .... let’s hope I’m not making u regret asking that question HAPPY ANNIVERSARY my love @indraneilsengupta #juststaywithme.”

However, in 2021, there were reports about troubles in the married life of Indraneil Sengupta and his wife, Barkha Sengupta. However, the actor has been tight-lipped about the same. Now, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Indraneil talked about the conjectures about his personal life and shared that he believes in maintaining a dignified silence on the matter. He said:
“First of all, I would not like to comment on my personal life. I am a very closed person. I keep my life very private. I have never thought of answering people, trying to explain. It is none of their business.”
Indraneil has seen massive success professionally in the past couple of months, and he was soaring high on the work front. He shared that dealing with all these conjunctures about his personal life was not difficult as he was dedicated to his work. He added:
“There will be a lot of chaos and lot of noise always. I keep quiet. Sometimes it will be about your work, sometimes about your personal life. As an actor my work is for public consumption, Indraneil Sengupta is not for public consumption. I will not let that happen at all.”

Further in the interview, Indraneil shares how did all these problems in their personal life impact their 10-year-old daughter, Meera. Talking about the same, the actor said that Meira is unbothered by all of it. He added:
“I think she is very smart she is very intelligent. She does not get overwhelmed by the fact that we are both public and the kind of attention we get. She does not like attention herself. I don’t think it has bothered her at all.”
A few months back, rumours are rife that Indraneil Sengupta and Barkha Sengupta are facing troubles in their married life and the reason was suggested to be his alleged proximity to a girl in Kolkata. When ETimes TV had contacted Indraneil, he had denied such reports and had said:
"I have heard rumours of such kind about Barkha and my marriage and I knew they will trickle to the media, but there's nothing like that. And for that to happen, I need to have gone to Kolkata. Right? I last went to Kolkata in February."
On the work front, Indraneil Sengupta was last seen in the web series, Human.
