After failing in class 12, Umesh decided to leave his studies for a while, courtesy of his family's responsibility.

The youngster started working with his father and used to sell milk along with some other tasks to earn extra income. It was a tough phase for Umesh Ganpat Khandbahale, but he always prioritised his family and continued working despite numerous hurdles. As of now, Umesh Ganpat proudly serves as an IPS officer, holding the position of a Police Superintendent in a district in West Bengal. His success story is still quite fresh in the streets of Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar.
For the unversed, after working as a milkman with his father for some time, Umesh Ganpat Khandbahale once again took admission in class 12th from open schooling. It was an even tougher task for Umesh to clear class 12th while working as a milkman at the same time. But his trust and belief in himself paid off as he cleared 12th class with good marks.
Soon after completing his schooling, Umesh Ganpat Khandbahale decided to complete his graduation degree in English Literature. It was a shocking decision for many as English was the subject in which he failed in class 12th. However, Umesh was determined to master the language, which challenged his abilities in the 12th class. Not only this, he also did BD, BSc Horticulture, and Masters in English.

According to multiple reports, Umesh Ganpat Khandbahale appeared in the SI exam, which was held in Maharashtra and to everyone's surprise, he cleared it on his first attempt. After getting the job of Sub-Inspector, Umesh started preparing for UPSC and surprised everyone by getting AIR 704. It's incredible how Umesh took control of his life after failing in 12th class and went on to become an IPS officer. According to multiple reports, Umesh reportedly serves as the Superintendent of Police in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district of India.
