In the presence of their friends and family members, the duo formally accepted one another as husband and wife in a grand ceremony hosted at Mumbai’s premium hotel, Taj Lands End. While the internet is brimming with tons of glimpses from the same, we stumbled upon some interesting details about their forthcoming traditional wedding, set to take place in Udaipur.

According to a report by The Free Press Journal, after their registrered marriage in Mumbai, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare will be heading towards the city of lakes, Udaipur, where they will tie the knot in a traditional ceremony. For the same, the couple have zeroed down on the heritage property, Taj Aravali Resort, which has been booked from January 8 to January 10, 2024. The report further revealed that a total of 176 rooms have been reserved for the Khan and Shikhare family, and a total of 250 guests are invited for the celebration.

Ira and Nupur’s wedding reception will take place at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Mumbai

Ira and Nupur’s wedding in Udaipur will only witness close family, friends and a handful of Bollywood celebs attending the same. Post their rituals, the couple will fly back to Mumbai where they will host a gala reception on January 13, 2024, which will take place at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre.

Nupur Shikhare ditched a traditional barat procession and jogged 8km to reach his wedding venue

Nupur Shikhare left everyone stunned with his hatke entry at his wedding venue. A fitness trainer by profession, he ditched the traditional baraat procession and instead chose to jog and reach Taj Lands End in Bandra from Santa Cruz, thereby covering a total distance of eight kilometres. In the videos that has been doing rounds capturing the viral moment, Nupur, dressed in a black vest and white shorts can be then seen dancing to the beats of dhol upon reaching the venue.

Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s first glimpse as a newly married couple

Ira and Nupur signed the official documents for their registered wedding on January 3, 2024, in the presence of their parents and other family members. Unlike any other gala celebration, the duo chose simplicity and an element of fun for their special day, which was not just reflected on the ambience of the wedding venue, as well as their attires. Interestingly, Nupur signed the documents while wearing his vest and shorts, whereas Ira could be seen dolled up in an ethnic wear. Later, the duo gave their first glimpse to the paparazzi, and it was unmissable. While Ira wore a muted gold-hued dhoti, teamed with a navy-blue blouse and matching dupatta. Nupur, on the other hand, wore a matching blue-hued sherwani and posed happily with his wifey.
