Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan opened up about her relationship with her fiance, Nupur Shikhare and revealed how she was not sure about dating him initially.
Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan is riding high on the personal front. The star daughter is soon going to hop onto a new journey of her life by getting married to the love of her life, Nupur Sikhare. The much-in-love couple has opted for a winter wedding, and they will exchange the vows on January 3, 2024. However, before getting hitched, Ira shared some unknown facts about her relationship with Nupur and shared that she didn't want to date him initially. For the unversed, the duo got engaged on November 18, 2022.
In an interview with India Today, Ira Khan opened up about her relationship with her fiance, Nupur Shikhare. Talking about the same, the star kid mentioned that initially, she didn't want to date Nupur. Revealing the reason behind the same, Ira added that she didn't want a relationship and a lot of things were going through her head. She also stated that later, she confronted Nupur, and from then on, they are together. Ira also added that Nupur took care of her when she was low. In her words:
"Initially, I was like 'we should not date because I don't want to get into a relationship with you, because I don't know what is going on in my head, who's if you want to deal with it or not.' And I went back and forth about that thought for so long. Later, I realized he was an adult. Why don't I ask him? So, I asked him, I was like 'listen, all these thoughts are going on in my head.' And that's how we started dating."

A few days back, during an interview with News18, Aamir Khan opened up about his daughter, Ira's wedding and confirmed her wedding date with Nupur. Talking about the same, Mr. Perfectionist mentioned that his daughter would marry Nupur on January 3, 2024. Aamir also heaped praise on his to-be son-in-law and stated that the latter is a lovely boy.
On June 3, 2023, Ira gave a glimpse into her wedding preparations. Taking to her IG handle, she dropped a series of pictures taken in the month of May 2023. The pictures featured some candid moments of Ira with her fiance, Nupur, her step-mother, Kiran Rao and her friend, Fatima Shaikh. However, it was the picture of the soon-to-be-bride preparing her wedding cards that caught our attention. In the picture, Ira could be seen sitting on the floor and writing names on what looked like her wedding card.

For the unversed, it was on November 18, 2022, when Ira Khan exchanged rings with her boyfriend, Nupur Shikhare. Their engagement was nothing less than a fairytale. For the engagement bash, Ira looked like a princess as she donned a strapless red-coloured gown. She completed her look with a statement necklace, a pair of earrings, dewy makeup and a bun hairdo. On the other hand, Nupur looked dapper in a black tuxedo.
