Recently, Ira Khan opened up about her first meeting with her husband, Nupur Shikhare. She revealed being 17 years old at the time while Nupur was engaged to someone else.

Now, however, the founder and CEO of a mental health support organization has been spotted appearing on several platforms with the actor her dad as they share their thoughts on mental wellness. The father-daughter duo even opened up about their own turbulent relationship in the past and shared the steps they were taking to repair it. Recently, Ira even divulged some rare insights about her relationship with her doting husband, Nupur Shikhare.
Ira Khan recently had a candid Ask Me Anything session with her followers on Instagram, during which curious fans wanted to know more about her relationship with her now-husband, Nupur Shikhare. Well, Ira dropped some shocking revelations during the same, revealing that she was 17 when she first met the fitness trainer.
The duo used to work out together as Nupur was Ira's coach. However, they stopped training with each other once they started dating. Even more surprisingly, Nupur was already engaged to someone else when he met Ira. The latter penned:
"Well, Popeye (Nupur) and I actually met because he was my fitness trainer when I was 17, and at that time, he was engaged to someone else. We worked out together for very long. Actually, once we started dating, we "unintentionally stopped working out."
For the unversed, Ira and Nupur reportedly dated for a few years before officially registering their marriage on January 3, 2024. They then went on to get hitched in a series of festivities held during the same month in Mumbai and Udaipur. Ira and Nupur's wedding photos also went viral due to their unconventional wedding outfits, which included Ira wearing a black blouse, golden-hued dhoti , and a dupatta over her head. Nupur, on the other hand, donned an athleisure fit in a black vest and shorts.
Ira Khan further went on to state that before she and Nupur fell in love with each other, he had played a significant role in her fitness journey. During the Q&A session, fans also asked the mental health advocate if she ever felt insecure while dating Nupur due to his profession. Ira's followers were curious about the same as Nupur and Ira have a vast fitness gap due to the latter's ongoing struggle with PCOS.
Well, Ira honestly admitted to feeling guilty about being 'unfit' and unable to reach Nupur's fitness level. However, she revealed that her loving husband always tries to support her, asking her not to overthink things. Ira wrote:
"l feel guilty. Like I'm so unfit, and he's so fit, but I'm not doing enough or trying hard enough. He deserves someone fitter. He tells me it's all in my head. But I do feel those things. "
Earlier, in a conversation with Filmybug, Ira Khan opened up about the difficulties she initially faced in her relationship with Nupur Shikhare. She opened up about their problems being centered on communication , and the then-new bride even admitted to not wanting to date Nupur for the same reason. Ira further elaborated that she hadn't wanted to get into a relationship with Nupur due to her mental health struggles, which made her feel she would be a burden to him. However, the duo discussed the situation openly, and Nupur was ready to accept Ira with all her issues.
