For Azad’s seventh birthday bash, Aamir and Kiran had hosted an Asterix or The Adventures of Asterix themed party, for which the little one was dressed as the titular hero, Asterix and his parents had picked the characters, Obelix and Getafix – the druid, respectively. Aamir had posted the pictures on his IG handle and had captioned them as “Obelix, Dogmatix, Asterix and Getafix the druid!”, “Obelix waits in line for the magic potion, while Asterix is drinking his dose” and “And Obelix is refused the magic potion by Getafix!!!”

As evident in Ira Khan’s birthday wish for Azad Rao Khan, the half-sibling duo shares a beautiful relationship. Ira often gives glimpses of her bond with her baby brother, Azad. When Azad had turned 8 in 2019, Ira had posted an array of pictures to wish him and had written, “You adorable ball of cuteness! Happy Birthday, Azad. What a cool kid you're turning out to be! In a 2017 interview with the Filmfare, Aamir Khan had talked about how he spends time with his son, Azad Rao Khan. Revealing his routine with Azad, Aamir had said, “I only do two things for him. I used to take him every day at 4 pm to play tennis. I’d sit for one hour while he’d play. Whenever I’m in Mumbai, I make sure I’m at home latest by 7 pm so that I’ve dinner with him or rather he sits with me and has his dinner. Then Kiran and I, alternately, read to him every night. So three of us are in bed together when we read to him.”
In an interview with Firstcry.com, Kiran Rao had spoken about how her life became complete post the birth of her son, Azad Rao Khan and the gratitude she has for the doctor, who helped her embrace motherhood. Kiran had remarked, “I don’t know what I did for those 20 years before Azad was born. My life is so full now. I feel so full and humbled by the joy and the completeness he makes me feel.
