The beautiful bride and stunning groom’s picture is from their Hindu wedding ceremony. The caption to the below picture details out their love story. It could be read as, “@anjulinanda and Charlie Diamond hit it off as soon as they met, but they didn't start dating right away. “We were obsessed with each other, but he resisted asking me out for six months because he was told I was out of his league!” says Anjuli. Anjuli Nanda’s wedding lehenga was designed by the same guy who designed it for Isha Ambani for her Met Gala 2019 appearance! Yes, you guessed it right! It’s Prabal Gurung. First of all, let us tell you that this is the first time Prabal has ventured into designing a wedding outfit as he usually designs gowns and clothes for beauty pageants and shows. As for Isha Ambani's Met Gala 2019 outfit, here's her gorgeous outfit:
Vogue Weddings Insta page has shared that Prabal Gurung made sure to add every little detail and nuances of Anjuli and Charlie’s relationship on to her wedding lehenga. It has been described as, “@anjulinanda knew she wanted to wear a lehenga in red for her wedding—the traditional colour for Indian brides—and family friend @prabalgurung offered to design his first bridal lehenga for Anjuli. “It was a dream come true!’ she says. Each of the eight panels of the lehenga was personalized with symbols special to Anjuli and her now-husband Charlie’s relationship, including their go-to bar (Greenwich Treehouse), their favourite places (London, Nantucket), even their dog.”
Vogue also shared the following picture of Anjuli with her bridesmaids with a scenic background. They captioned the following picture as, “Bride @anjulinanda and her bridesmaids (and man!) in coordinating saris and jacket, the colours popping against the moody light. "They are such a special group who can always make me laugh," said the bride.” (Must Read: Kapil Sharma's Funny Reaction On Being Called Father To A Baby In Audience By Usha Uthup [VIDEO])
Another gorgeous picture shared by Vogue Weddings was from Charlie Diamond’s baraat which was captioned, “@anjulinanda and Charlie Diamond's wedding weekend began with the Baraat, a procession when the groom makes his way to the wedding venue on horseback. Here, the bride's nieces and cousin led the way while everyone danced to the drummers and cheers the groom on. The bride was secretly watching from a window in the manor since the groom is not supposed to see the bride before the ceremony.”
Anjuli Nanda and Charlie Diamond’s Hindu wedding was truly an epitome of grace. The last picture shared by Vogue Weddings on Instagram was worded as, “An intimate moment from a beautiful wedding ceremony: Keeping with the Indian tradition, a shawl was held up between bride @anjulinanda and groom Charlie Diamond, then slowly lowered so they were revealed to each other.”
And then, it was the time for white Christian wedding. And guess who designed her English wedding gown? It was none other than one of the most reputed designers of the world, Vivienne Westwood! Vogue shared the following picture and adorably captioned it as, “After wearing a red lehenga for her Indian ceremony, @anjulinanda wanted a classic British designer for her English ceremony and couldn’t imagine anyone who fit the bill better than @viviennewestwood. The Westwood Couture dress, complete with a corset, was perfectly fitted to her body. “I felt strong, powerful, feminine, and most importantly, like myself.”
Another post by Vogue Weddings shared how Anjuli Nanda felt about red mehendi along with her white gown, “@anjulinanda had her mehendi done in London a few days before her wedding so that the colour set. She loved how it looked against her white @viviennewestwood gown, worn for her English ceremony.” (Don't Miss: 'Jamai Raja' Actress, Sara Arfeen Khan's Baby Shower Takes Place In London, She Is Due In July)
