Ishita Dutta opened up about the future prospects in her career, and recalled being told on her wedding day that her career would be over.
Ishita Dutta is one of the most-loved actresses in Bollywood. The diva made a leap of faith in Bollywood with the film, Drishyam after scoring a successful career in films. Currently, she is rising high on her personal front, as she and her husband, Vatsal Sheth have been soaking in all the joys of being parents. For the unversed, the couple got blessed with their son, Vaayu in July 2023. And now, Ishita talked about resuming work and managing schedules.
In an interaction with The Indian Express, Ishita Dutta opened up on several anecdotes from her new journey as a mother to her son, Vaayu. She mentioned that at first, it appeared to be a crazy journey, and she felt all over the place. However, she later added how she learnt the importance of sparing some time for herself, as well as spending it with her son. In her words:
“That has been my focus from day one. A lot of mothers go through guilt but one needs to be happy to raise a happy kid. If you have a support system, I feel every mother and father needs to step out and spend time alone and as a couple. I didn’t even wait for 40 days and decided to go out in 2-3 days, because I was so overwhelmed and emotional.”

In the same interaction, Ishita talked about the difficulties most new parents face when they start to lose out on spending time with one another. However, in her case, the actress mentioned that she has particularly articulated and planned to spend time with her husband and revealed how they often head out for coffee dates. She mentioned:
“Once I had a baby, I realised why a lot of couples face problems after having a baby. Your focus is so much on the baby that you forget your relationship. As a couple, we made sure we spent time with each other, went for drives and coffee. Recently, we also took a trip where we asked the grandparents to look after the baby, while we spent some quality time together.”
In the concluding segment of the interview, Ishita Dutta recalled a moment when she was told by one of her friends on her wedding day, that her career would be over hence forth. However, in retrospect, she emphasised that she never let something like that happen to her career. Moreover, she mentioned that as much as she wants to spend time with her little one at home, she also feels that time is running out, and she needs to satisfy the creative artist in her with some good work. In her words:
“I remember a colleague coming to me on my wedding day and saying how it’s the end of my career after marriage. I was shocked but I have always believed nothing will change, and it didn’t. Time is literally flying and we both want to spend time with our child. At the same time, I also want to be creatively satisfied and do some good work.”

Back on October 23, 2023, Ishita Dutta had taken to her IG handle and dropped stunning glimpses of herself, Vatsal and their son, Vaayu, as the trio enjoyed their hearts out for Durga Puja, Since it was their son’s first festive celebration, the doting parents left no stone unturned to make it every bit special.
