The latest to join the bandwagon is actor Akshay Dogra who is about to become a daddy. He and his wife Sakshi are expecting their first child together, which is due next month.

Akshay recently hosted a baby shower for his wife. Many celebs from the television industry joined him for the same. The entire cast of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, which included Barun Sobti with his wife Pashmeen Manchanda, Sanaya Irani with beau Mohit Sehgal, Daljeet Kaur, Abhaas Mehta, Lata Sreedhar, who was the supervising producer for the show were present. Also seen at the do were Akshay’s sister, Ridhi Dogra and her husband Raqesh Vashisth.

It was a gala, well-planned affair where everyone was seen enjoying. There was a cute baby-themed cake for the guests to have. The guests were also seen indulging in some games, which included writing baby boy and baby girl names on chits of paper, and keeping them in a glass jar. The guests even bought a handmade card for the parents-to-be to keep as a souvenir.

The baby is due sometime next month, and when contacted, Akshay had this to say to a leading daily:
"It was a good ceremony, very warm and graced my loved ones. However, I choose not to talk about it much. I know the pictures are out so they are self-explanatory. But yes, we are very happy."
Akshay gained fame when he played the role of Akaash in the hit tele-series Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. He has also acted in television serials like Do Dil Ek Jaan, 12/24 Karol Bagh, and Punar Vivaah.
