It was on April 12, 2010 when Indian ace-tennis star, Sania Mirza got married to the former Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Malik in a traditional Muslim wedding ceremony at the Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad. 8 years later, on April 23, 2018, the couple announced Sania's first pregnacy, and the doting couple became parents on October 30, 2018 when their baby boy was born. The doting mommy has been regularly keeping her fans up to date when it comes to Izhaan. In a recent interview, Sania Mirza was asked how life has changed after Izhaan's arrival in her life. The 32-year-old mommy was quoted as saying, "Izhaan has been a ‘game-changer’ and in fact, a ‘life-changer’ for our family by the grace of God and everything now revolves around him."

Sania Mirza has been sporty throughout her pregnancy journey and also now as a newbie mother. During her pregnancy, she had been quite vocal about her health and diet. Sending a strong message to the expecting mothers, Sania had shared, "I think as an expectant mother the most important message that I want to give not just to my child but to every child is that you have to follow your dreams whatever they are even if they are out of the box or out of the ordinary, you have to believe in yourself."
Sania had also revealed back then the gender of their baby doesn't matter to her. She was quoted as saying, “And obviously if it is only my child, I would hope, pray and wish for it to be a healthy child. It doesn't matter if it is a boy or a girl, which seems to be very important for a lot of people. Besides that, to believe in yourself and always know that you have the freedom to be whoever you are. At this point, with regard to my baby, all I truly hope, pray and wish is, for it to be healthy, regardless of the gender.”
Sania and Shoaib embraced parenthood on October 30, 2018. Shoiab Malik had announced the news of his baby boy’s arrival by tweeting, “Excited to announce: It’s a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled #BabyMirzaMalik.” A couple of days later, he revealed the name of their baby by tweeting, “Thank you from the bottom of our heart to everyone for the wishes from Sania and I, and our families.
