In an interview with a leading daily recently, Sania shared how her life has been after the entry of Izhaan. The doting mommy had shared, “Izhaan has been a ‘game-changer’ and in fact, a ‘life-changer’ for our family by the grace of God and everything now revolves around him.” On being asked further as to how difficult it has been to be a mother and a champion athlete meeting all the demands, she had said, “It is all about time management and prioritising one’s life and goals and so far, it has worked out well.”
Ever since Izhaan was born to Sania, she has been even more active on social media. So, yesterday, it was Jumma. And for the occasion, Sania dressed her little son, Izhaan Mirza Malik in an all-white kurta-pyjama. Sania herself took to her official Instagram handle and shared the Boomerang video. Yesterday only, Sania also posted a picture of three generations on her Instagram. When Sania was expecting Izhaan, she had shared a strong message for all the mommies-to-be and was quoted as saying, “I think as an expectant mother the most important message that I want to give not just to my child but to every child is that you have to follow your dreams whatever they are even if they are out of the box or out of the ordinary, you have to believe in yourself.” (Also Read: Riddhima Kapoor Sahni Posts A Heartfelt Wish For Her 'Princess', Samara Sahni, On Her Eight Birthday)
She had also revealed that gender didn’t matter to her. Sania had remarked, “And obviously if it is only my child, I would hope, pray and wish for it to be a healthy child. It doesn't matter if it is a boy or a girl, which seems to be very important for a lot of people. Besides that, to believe in yourself and always know that you have the freedom to be whoever you are. At this point, with regard to my baby, all I truly hope, pray and wish is, for it to be healthy, regardless of the gender.”
Once in a media interaction, she had opened up about her own childhood and shared a memory with her parents, “I have a lot of fond memories that I had shared with my parents and the upbringing they've given me because of which I am who I am today and as strong as I am. We used to travel extensively from one state to the other to go and play tennis matches. My parents took extreme pride in every level of tennis that I played. No matter at what level it was, whether it was school, state, national or international - their support, encouragement and enthusiasm continue to remain the same.”
During her pregnancy, Sania had gained a few kilos and now the newbie mommy has hit the gym yet again and has also shed a few kilos. Sania Mirza is all set to make her comeback on tennis court. All this while, she has been putting up pictures and videos straight from the gym working out in the best possible manner. Recently, she had taken to her social media account and shared, “The toughest thing for me after pregnancy has been trying to get my core to be as strong as it was before I had Izhaan .. this is a personal win for me today, to be able to do this exercise which involves a loootttt of core strength and balance .. I have a long way to go but I’ve also come a long waywhat’s life bout if you don’t celebrate the small victories #slowlybutsurely #Mummahustles.” (Checkout: Samantha Akkineni Reacts To Naga Chaitanya's Kissing Scene With Divyansha Kaushik In 'Majili')
And you would not believe, Sania has lost whopping 22 kgs in four months! In an interaction with The Times of India, the ace tennis star herself shared, “I’ve got four-five weeks of training to go before I am where I would like to be, which is where I was before I got pregnant. In the normal scheme of things that’s not much time, considering I delivered only four months ago. Once I get back to where I want to be physically, I’ll start playing. I had three surgeries before I had a baby, so I have to be careful about how I address my playing, my return to competition.”
She had further added, “I started training with Robert (Ballard) last week, before that I was training on my own. I lost all the weight by myself. It was just with cardio and my knowledge of fitness. It was also restricted because I couldn’t do weights. I was killing myself. I would do 100 minutes of cardio, an hour of kick-boxing and an hour of pilates. That was my day, that’s how I lost weight. My point is every celebrity doesn’t go under the knife to lose weight, people work hard. My training has been good so far, but as the work load increases, I don’t know how my body will react. I’ll have to play it by the ear.” (Do Check: Vicky Kaushal Calls Deepika Padukone 'Bhabhi', She Gets Annoyed And Ranveer Enacts Wedding Pheras)
Sania further went on to reveal, “I go to the gym for four hours, maybe a little more, every day. That’s also because I am rebuilding. I always train that way. I feel because I’ve had these injuries and surgeries, I have been more cautious. I don’t want to be in a position where because I have under-trained, I’ve gotten hurt. I would hate that. If I twist my ankle, there’s nothing that can be done, but I don’t want to have torn a muscle because I was not strong enough. I have always had that mindset. I want to see how my body will hold up, it has been through a huge ordeal in the last one year. So far, I feel no difference to the way I used to feel earlier. But you still don’t know, this is the first time I’ve had a baby, so we’ll see. I do a lot of core, because that is the toughest. I split my training into two sessions. It’s weights and strength in the morning and in the evening, it is more plyometric and cardio.”
