There are many in the industry and elsewhere too, who think repeating an outfit is a faux pas, but Janhvi here is reinventing the so-called rules. Yes, the budding actress has revealed that she has no qualms in wearing a particular outfit again. She has hit back at the trolls with a swag!
On Anaita Shroff Adajania's chat show, Feet Up With Stars season 2, Janhvi defended her choice to repeat a look and laughed it off by saying, “How can they...? Itna bhi paisa nahi kamaya ki har roz naye kapde!"
She further went on to share that comments and trolls related to her wearing doesn’t affect her at all, "You can't please everyone. Especially with this. I guess you would take their criticism seriously if it was to do with your work and then work on that. On the same show, Janhvi also revealed that she had a huge fight with mom, Sridevi after she revealed she wanted to be an actress. Janhvi stated, "I remember this one incident. This was a little after I told mom I wanted to act. The Dhadak actress further added, "I was really crying and she looked at me and said, 'You look good when you cry. It's good for an actor. I feel bad for you.' I was like, 'Mom, you really need to feel bad for me, not from an actor's point of view.’”
Apart from this, in an interview with Cosmopolitan India, the 22-year-old had opened up about the advice her late mother Sridevi had given her for Dhadak. Janhvi had remarked, "Mom said, 'Don’t overthink it, just feel it.' And be honest to what you’re doing, work hard, give it your everything, and just put your head down and keep working. On the work front, Janhvi is currently working on Kargil Girl, which brings the story of IAF pilot Gunjan Saxena alive on celluloid. While the movie is helmed by debutant director Sharan Sharma and it is being produced by Dharma Productions.
