A few months back, Anshula Kapoor had revealed that Khushi Kapoor is Boney Kapoor's favourite kid. Now, Janhvi Kapoor teases her little sister with a title that she proudly owns.
Who gets to eat the last cookie or the last slice of pizza? Who gets to control the TV remote? The constant yelling in the house for ‘Who touched/stole my stuff?’ Who gets to use the bathroom first? Whose turn it is to help mom with the household chores? Well, sibling rivalries are prevalent in every household but as it is rightly said, ‘Teri meri banti nahi par tere bina meri chalti nahi’. But more than anything, the fight is for the title of ‘Who is the favourite kid?’ And looks like that is sorted in B-town’s Kapoor family. The Kapoor khaandaan is one of the most loved, respected and idealised families in the Tinseltown. Through an Ask Me Anything Instagram feature, Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie Kapoor’s daughter and Arjun Kapoor’s sister, Anshula Kapoor had revealed her dad’s favourite kid. When a follower had asked Anshula, “Out of you 4 siblings, who is Boney ji’s most favourite?” She had replied, “Khushi 100”! Revealing “the secret out” and tagging all her siblings (Arjun, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor), she had ended her answer with “No but honestly, he loves us all the same."
And now, looks like Janhvi Kapoor has made peace with it as if her sister, Khushi Kapoor has the title of being favourite kid, she also proudly entitled with the other tag. Janhvi collaborated with Fankind, which is her half-sister, Anshula Kapoor’s venture. Sharing an Insta story of Anshula, Janhvi wrote, “Khushi might be the favourite daughter but I’m the favourite sibling.”
A graduate in Urban Studies from Barnard College of Columbia University, Anshula Kapoor had made the entire Kapoor clan proud when she had received her first award which is the MOM Woman For Tech Award at the MTV-IWM Digital Awards. Anshula’s half-sisters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, cousin, Shanaya Kapoor and alleged soon-to-be brother-in-law, Karan Boolani (rumoured beau of Rhea Kapoor) had posted Insta stories, expressing how proud they are of this 26-year-old digital star. Anshula had reposted their Insta stories and had thanked everyone for their love and support. (Also Read: Sara Ali Khan Reveals That Her Father, Saif Ali Khan Has Never Been An Absentee Father)
It is rightly said that the daughters get it from their mothers, and it is no different with Dhadak fame starlet, Janhvi Kapoor. Janhvi has inherited the grace and talent from her mother, Sridevi Kapoor. Anshula Kapoor had posted a glimpse of Janhvi, acing the classical dance steps on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer song, Salaam from Umrao Jaan. Though she swooned us with her grace and moves, it was hilarious to watch her replace the forgotten lyrics with ‘something something’. Check out the video:
As we all have seen, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor have been the constant pillars of strength and extremely protective about their little sisters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, the Dhadak debutante too, acknowledged the love she found in her elder siblings. Janhvi had shared in an interview, “It comes from seeking a sense of protection. A significant figure in our lives- my mother- wasn’t there anymore. Whom could we rely on? So, Khushi and I found ourselves leaning on them. A strong trust was forged between us. They’re so chilled out, such gracious and strong people, who encourage you and are real with you. We’re blessed.”
At yet another interview during the promotions of her debut film, Dhadak, Janhvi Kapoor spoke about what Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor means to her and Khushi Kapoor. She had shared, “The only reason we can stand strong after whatever happened is because of the kind of love and support Arjun bhaiyya and Anshula didi [half-siblings] have been giving us [she and her younger sister, Khushi]. It’s a family dynamic that I relish. I am very thankful for them. I couldn’t have asked for a better brother and a better sister. They have given us a lot of strength. He is a very wise man and has given tips like, ‘just be honest, be yourself and be respectful towards people.’ Somehow, when he says it, I take it like the gospel truth.” (Also Read: Sara Ali Khan Doesn't Agree To The Views Of Her Father, Saif Ali Khan On Modern Work Culture)
