As we mentioned, this is Janhvi’s first film and the media haven’t had much of a chance to hear from her about her camaraderie with her mother, the late superstar, Sridevi. As a result, a lot of media interviews have Janhvi speaking about her mom. At the trailer launch of her first movie, Janhvi started choking when an interviewer asked her if she missed her mom on her special day. Here’s the video:

By the way, what is your favourite Sridevi movie? Her daughter, Janhvi, too, has one and she loves it so much that given a chance she would like to be cast in the film. Any guesses as to what film it is? It is one of Sridevi’s cult films, Sadmaa. Did you just say 'we you love it too'? We copy you! As per a BollywoodLife report, Janhvi is so mesmerised by the movie, that even if it is not Sridevi’s character, given a chance, she would also not mind playing a gender role reversal and would happily play Kamal Hassan’s character! Isn’t this too good to be true?

In one of the interviews, Janhvi expressed her concern that she would be compared to her mom in her first film and that would be unfair. She shared, “I was never worried about it. Mom used to worry about the comparisons because she had done so many films. She used to feel that the audience will compare my first film with her 400 films. As an actor, I have tried to play my character with utmost honesty and sincerity and I didn’t want to act like my Mom. She was always grateful for all the love, appreciation and adulation which she received from so many people. So, I feel that now I have to make them happy.” (Also Read: 'Dhadak' Actress, Janhvi Kapoor's Mom Sridevi Always Babied Her, Now Papa Boney Is Playing That Role)

Also, did you know, Janhvi has written a special note for her dear mother to whom she dedicates her first film? The note will appear on the screen before the movie stars. A source shared the same with BollywoodLife, “Janhvi has written a heartfelt note to Sridevi which has been attached in the very beginning of the film, along with their picture. She wanted to dedicate her first film to her mother and it was only obvious for the makers to include this special tribute in the film."

The beautiful diva also shared that Sridevi wanted Dhadak to be her ‘own journey’ and she had never interfered with anything in the film. In the same context, PTI quoted Janhvi as saying, “She supported me a lot but I think both of us were clear that she wanted this to be my own journey. I remember reading lines with her around. But she never said 'Do it like this or that'. She would always say, 'I want you to find this on your own, do it on your own’”. A few days after Sridevi’s demise, Janhvi wrote a heartfelt massage dedicating her mom. She captioned her note as, “On my birthday, the only thing I ask of all of you is that you love your parents. Cherish them and devote yourself to making them feel that love. They have made you. And I ask that you remember my mother fondly, pray for her soul to rest in peace. Let the love and adulation you’ll showered on her continue and please know that the biggest part of my mother was the love she shared with papa. And their love is immortal because there was nothing like it in the whole world. Nothing as joyful and pure and no two people as devoted to one another as they were. Please respect that because it hurts to think anyone would ever try to tarnish it. Preserving the sanctity of what they had would mean the world not only to my mother but also to a man who’s entire being revolved around her, and her two children who are all that remains of their love. Me and Khushi have lost our mother but papa has lost his “Jaan”. She was so much more than just an actor or a mother or a wife. She was the ultimate and the best in all these roles. It mattered a great deal to her to give love and to get love. For people to be good and gracious and kind. She didn’t understand frustration or malice or jealousy. So let’s be that. Let’s be full of only good and give only love. That would make her happy, to know that even in death, she gave you all something. The courage and inspiration to fill yourselves with nothing but love and rid yourselves of bitterness in any way and form. That’s what she stood for. Dignity, strength and innocence. Thank you for the love and support everyone has shown us in the past couple of days. It’s given us hope and strength and we can’t thank you all enough.” Here’s the note:
