Janhvi Kapoor's Lakme Fashion Week turns out to be disaster as internet looks unimpressed with her sultry expressions and the dress, which had tape on the slit.
Janhvi Kapoor entered Bollywood with her 2018 film, Dhadak, opposite Ishaan Khatter. Over the years, we have seen a complete transformation of the shy beauty into a gorgeous diva. Janhvi is now in her sexy diva era, and she owns it like a 'boss lady'. However, her recent stint at the Lakme Fashion Week 2025 left netizens unimpressed.
Janhvi turned showstopper for famous fashion designer, Rahul Mishra for the Lakme Fashion Week 2025. Pictures and videos of her walk surfaced on the internet, and netizens didn't like her over-enthusiasm while walking on the runway. The actress wore a long black coat as she entered on the ramp. In a dramatic way, Janhvi mid-stage removed her coat and stunned the audience in a bandhani bodycon dress, featuring a thigh-high slit and no sleeves.
Janhvi ditched any statement jewellery but opted for long sting earrings that moved with her every move. She looked glamorous in bold makeup and wavy hair. Huge heels completed her look for the night.
As soon as the video surfaced on the internet, netizens expressed their opinions without mincing their words. However, one thing that fans were quick to notice was a tape on the thigh-high slit, which made the whole look a disaster. One user wrote, "Am I the only one who is bothered by that white sticker on her thighs? What is that? A tag?" A second one commented, "Absolutely horrendous walk. And she should stop with this sultry expression. She looks cartoonish."
A third user penned, "The dress is too tight, and the tape is a disaster. Not to mention, she can’t walk or act. What’s this bouncing-flouncing around?" Another one wrote, "She looks gorgeous and hot. But the whole purpose of fashion show and model playing lowkey with no expression is that people notice the designer’s outfit not you. This just seems like her show and pretty disrespectful to designer honestly. But, again it is always good to experiment!"
Janhvi's personal life is quite low-key, but she makes sure to tell the world that she is taken. Currently, she is in a relationship with Shikhar Pahariya, who was her childhood sweetheart. During an episode of Starry Nights with Komal Nahata, Janhvi Kapoor opened up about how she thought her future life to be . The actress revealed that she would be settling down in Tirumala, Tirupati, with her husband and three kids. She was quoted as saying:
"I have this plan of eventually getting married and settling down in Tirumala, Tirupati, with my husband and my three kids. And we'll eat every day on banana leaves and hear like 'Govinda, Govinda.' And I'll have mogras in my hair, listen to Mani Ratnam music in the morning, tel champi on my husband in his lungi."
Janhvi Kapoor is all geared up for a film with Ram Charan titled Peddi, it is directed by Buchi Babu Sana, and stars Shiva Raj Kumar, Divyenndu and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. Not only this, Janhvi would also feature in a film opposite Varun Dhawan, named Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
