The wait of nine months was finally over for the lovely couple when they had welcomed their baby boy on February 3, 2020. A few minutes back, Jankee Parekh took to her IG handle and revealed why she wanted her hubby, Nakuul Mehta to be around after her delivery. Revealing why she chose Nakuul to stay back in the hospital and also why she refused the comfort of her mother’s house post-delivery, Jankee wrote, “You don’t need the husband for the baby but you need him for YOU! Ever since Sufi was born, I made it very clear to both our mothers that only Nakuul will sleep at the hospital in the nights and post delivery I’d be in the comforts of my own home and not at my mother's for 40 days. ( an unsaid tradition in most Indian families) The main reason being I wanted Nakuul to be involved in everything from Day ZERO.”

Jankee further expressed that she was proud of her decision and how Nakuul stood by her in the past 24 days. She continued, “Whilst being proud of the decision we made, I very soon also realised, that there's only that much your partner can contribute in the initial days after the birth of your child. At the end of the day, it’s mainly the mother and probably a nanny ( if you are fortunate to have one) who’s doing most of the work. Since all the baby does is feeding/ burping / pooping/ crying / sleeping repeat. But when I look back at these last 24 days, I couldn’t have done it, if it wasn't for Nakuul by my side.” (Also Read: Ankita Lokhande Badly Trolled By Her Late Ex-BF, Sushant Singh Rajput's Fans For Her Latest IG Reel)

She expressed her gratitude towards Nakuul and concluded the note by urging fellow mommies or expecting women to keep their partner close and everything will be fine. In her words, “Him watching over Sufi and me whilst Sufi fed and telling me that I am doing great, those passing kisses and hugs to me while I run around the room trying to get the feeding pillow and the burp cloth, him telling me that I am the best mommy in the world after I have woken up for the 3rd time in the night to attend to our little human, him pulling me out of the house to get some fresh air every other evening just so that I feel better, and him putting me to sleep and saying I'll take care of everything if Sufi wakes up... ( Even when I know, that he’s going to wake me up as soon as Sufi cries:-) .. and the list goes on & on! So ladies, if you are about to pop, just remember to keep your partner close, and soon everything will feel alright ! More or less… Daddy may not be a master at changing diapers, yet but he’s slowly and steadily mastering the art of burping ‘Sufi’ and I am so proud of him.” (Also Read: Rajeev Sen Pens A Lovely Birthday Wish For His 'Jaan', Charu Asopa With Glimpses Of The Celebrations)
