Jankee Parekh Mehta shared a video with her son, Sufi Mehta, swinging on a swing on which she has been swinging with her mom since the day she was born.
It is rightly said that with children, adults relive their childhood. Their little one's experiences remind them of their own childhood and special moments with their parents. Jankee Parekh Mehta is reliving her childhood with her son, Sufi and ever since the birth of the little one, the doting mommy has been beautifully documenting his life on her social media handle. It is a sheer delight to watch Nakuul Mehta, Jankee and their little one, Sufi making the most of this beautiful phase, be it the 'Songs and Tales to Sufi' or Jankee's experiences as a first-time mom.

To announce the arrival of their son, Nakuul and Jankee had posted a glimpse of their newborn's hand, holding his mommy's finger and the daddy-to-be holding his little one's tiny hand. Two weeks after the birth of their son, Nakuul and Jankee had announced the gender-neutral name of the newborn. Revealing the meaning of Sufi, Nakuul had captioned his post as "A name that we decided when we were 3 months pregnant for our to-be first born, irrespective of the gender. Sufi symbolises spirituality, art, philosophy, literature, soul, song and everything that we stand for & beyond. From the time you were born, you have filled up our lives and hearts with so much love and if I'm allowed to customise this caption dictated by the Missus, sleepless nights. @babysufim."
A few days ago, on her father's birthday, Jankee Parekh Mehta had taken her little one, Sufi to his maternal grandparents' house for the first time since his birth. Throwing some light on how Sufi reacted and his experience visiting his nana-nani's house for the first time, Jankee wrote in the caption, "14th May was an overwhelming day. The good kind.. which you want to remember for a long time. Not just because it was my father's birthday, but it was also the day when I took Sufi to my mom's house for the first time since his birth. A day that everyone was looking forward to for the last 100 days. My mom's place is 7 minute drive from my house & no one from my family (13 of them) had spent even an evening with Sufi up until now. It was really hard for me to keep everyone away from him for so long but I couldn't wait any longer. We decided to surprise my family! Sufi was cranky, sleepy & not in the best of his mood when we were about to leave for home. The minute we reached, he was welcomed with an Aarti ki thaali and 10 smiling faces."

Revealing how her family entertained Sufi at home and were thrilled to see his big smile as he reciprocated their love and affection, Jankee Parekh Mehta continued, "I kept him in the living room on his favourite bouncer and a group of 10 people with masks circled around him and started baby talk. I was quite certain that our little child would get flustered and scared seeing so many of them all at once & definitely burst into tears. Sufi kept staring at each & everyone individually and then in the next 3 mins he broke into a big smile. Everybody got so thrilled as he continued to play to the gallery and flash his toothless smile all throughout with spurts of chuckles and giggles."
Jankee Parekh Mehta shared a video with Sufi, swinging on a swing on which she has been swinging with her mom since the day she was born. Talking about the same, Jankee concluded, "This was a moment I want to freeze. I have never seen my family, so expressive, so emotional, so ecstatic in the last 10 years. There was so much joy in everyone’s eyes, that just watching them made Nakuul's and my heart full & then … my father held his little grandson for the very first time. Both Sufi & his eyes lit up. I guess it was the best birthday gift we could have given him! That day made me realise how we take happiness & family for granted, and in uncertain times like these, watching Sufi open up to a world outside of mama & dadda and for him to take to it so organically is the little joy that I hold onto at this time. P.S - In the video - Swinging with Sufi for the very first time on the same swing which my mum and I have been swinging on since the day I was born. #SufiandMaa #firsttimemom #motherhood."
