Jay Bhanushali had started his YouTube channel on which he often shares vlogs of the fun moments of his baby girl Tara. In one such funny video, Jay Bhanushali and his wife, Mahhi Vij challenged each other on who Tara likes more, mommy or daddy. To settle the debate, they decided they would call Tara one by one, whoever she goes to, will be the winner. On September 18, 2020, Mahhi Vij had shared beautiful pictures with her little munchkin, Tara, from their Goa vacation. In the pictures, Mahhi could be seen playing with Tara on the beach, and the beautiful backdrop of the sea had added surrealness to the pictures. Alongside the pictures, Mahhi had written, "Finally the air, the wind, the water and us. Enjoying our time in the lap of nature! #Goa." In an interview with the Hindustan Times, popular television actress, Mahhi Vij had talked about the possibilities of her daughter, Tara Jay Bhanushali becoming an actress. She had admitted that it'd be a little bit easier for her daughter and had said, "I come from a middle class, non-film background but had my father been in the industry, and it would have helped. If Tara (her daughter) joins the industry tomorrow, she would be at an advantage. But then everything depends on the audiences' acceptance. There are many star kids who are sitting at home. If having an advantage was enough, the industry would only have star kids."
Earlier, in a conversation with Pinkvilla, Jay had shared how his and Mahhi's life as a couple had changed after the birth of their daughter, Tara. Sharing how his relationship with his wife, Mahhi had transformed after Tara's birth, he had said, "Definitely, Tara has brought a huge difference in me when it comes to loving your family. I am more attached to my family now. Before Tara, Mahi and I would take our relationship like boyfriend and girlfriend, but now after Tara being there, there are more responsibilities and we are happy with it. She has changed me as a man and a human being. I am more concerned about everything now. I am more responsible about my spending also because as a father you always want to save and do better for the daughter."
