As Navya Naveli Nanda announced the release of her podcast, 'What The Hell Navya 2', netizens slammed her, Jaya Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan for their arrogance and rude behaviour.
Jaya Bachchan is one of the most respected and talented actresses in the Indian cinema. Married to Amitabh Bachchan, she is a proud mother of two children, Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. However, it is her equation with her daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, which often garners a lot of media attention. For some time now, the Bachchans have been in the news for their alleged tiff with their bahu, Aishwarya, but they never reacted to the same.
Jaya Bachchan always appears grumpy in front of the paps, and her glimpses become meme material for netizens. Time and again, the veteran actress has been bashed for her arrogance and rude behaviour. Recently, Jaya's granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda announced the return of her famous podcast show, What The Hell Navya. Taling to Reddit, a netizen shared a picture of Jaya, Navya and Shweta Bachchan promoting the podcast and reacted to the trailer of the podcast. The social media users pointed out how the trio has been biased against Aishwarya and always acts entitled.

Soon after the post was shared on Reddit, other social media users couldn't keep calm and rushed to the comment section to slam Jaya. While some claimed that Jaya and Shweta always throw shade at Aishwarya, others bashed the mother-daughter duo for their unnecessary attitude. One user penned, "Same here. And not just her, but hate these two as well. Arrogant rich brats, making other people's lives hell. I really don't know how Aishwarya tolerated this patriarchal shit this much. This family reminds me of a saying 'Money doesn't ensure class'." Another commented, "I have no respect for any of the 3 and no sympathy either."

Earlier, a netizen shared an old video of Jaya Bachchan from her appearance on What The Hell Navya, wherein she along with Navya Naveli Nanda and Shweta Bachchan, talked about women empowerment. During the episode, when Navya spoke about the sacrifices women have to make for the sake of their families, Jaya objected. The veteran actress spoke about her own experience as a mother and said:
“I remember when I stopped working and everybody said, ‘Oh she’s sacrificed her career for her marriage and children’, it was not so. I was really very happy being a mother and a wife. I enjoyed that role more than what I was getting to do (in films), which is a repeat of the same thing. It was not a sacrifice at all. I mean, if today, whether it's me, it's you or Shweta or any other women we are interacting with, who have a voice, have got it because our mothers have given it."

Soon after the video was shared on Reddit, netizens were quick to react to the same. They flooded the post's comment section and slammed Jaya for being biased towards her bahu, Aishwarya Rai. One user commented, "Lol remember when she said she likes Aish cause she stands back and listens to them. So autonomy is only for her, her daughter and her granddaughter???" Another pointed out, "So Aish had a choice to be a homemaker and an actress. She chose to work after raising Aaradhya and that created problem between them?"

During her appearance on the popular chat show, Koffee With Karan, in 2007, Jaya Bachchan was asked if she discussed her problems with bahu, Aishwarya Rai, after her daughter, Shweta Bachchan got married. To everyone's surprise, Jaya lauded Aishwarya and mentioned how the latter stays grounded despite being a successful diva. Jaya could be quoted as saying:
"She is lovely. I love her. I have always loved her. I have never ever seen her push herself whenever we are all together. I like that quality of hers to stand behind. She is quiet. She listens and she is taking it all in. And another beautiful thing is that she has fitted in so well in the family. She knows who are our good friends."
