Jaya Bachchan grabbed a lot of attention for smiling and waving at the paps as she left Jamnagar after attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding bash.
The pre-wedding soiree of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant concluded on March 3, 2024, and many celebs jetted off from Jamnagar. Many celebs from the glamour, business, sports and political fields graced the grand bash and had a gala time. The Bachchan clan, including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aardhya Bachchan, too made their presence felt.
However, it was the veteran actress, Jaya Bachchan, who stole the limelight for being extremely polite with the paps. Jaya Bachchan has often shown her hatred towards paps and doesn’t even think twice before schooling them. But this time, the actress was quite the opposite. As she was papped leaving Jamnagar after attending the Ambani event, Jaya Bachchan waved and smiled at the paps stationed outside the venue.

Jaya Bachchan’s reaction gained a lot of attention as soon as the video was shared on social media. Many netizens expressed their disbelief in her behaviour and commented that since it was an Ambani event, Jaya was maintaining her calm demure. One of the netizens wrote, “First time I've seen her smiling, strange na.” Another commented, “Aaj to daat nhi lgayi Jaya ji ne.”
Talking about Jaya Bachchan and her rapport with the paps, the veteran actress has often hit the headlines for her tiffs with the photographers. Despite being a public figure, Jaya Bachchan hates being clicked and often gets into an argument regarding the same with the paps. Once, Jaya Bachchan was papped at the Indore airport with her husband, Amitabh Bachchan, and as the paps and some of their fans started clicking their pictures, Jaya Bachchan lost her cool and started shouting at them. In her sharp voice, Jaya yelled at them and said, “Do not click my pictures, you don’t understand English?” Jaya got so angry that while exiting the airport, she yelled and said:
“Aese Logon Ko Naukri Se Nikal Dena Chahiye”

During the screening of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Jaya Bachchan was accompanied by her son, Abhishek Bachchan and her daughter, Shweta Bachchan, for the event. However, it was her heated interaction with the paps that grabbed the attention. She warned the shutterbugs not to shout and said:
"I am not deaf, aaram se baat karo."
