Aastey co-founder, Jeevika Tyagi recently opened up about her harrowing stint on 'Shark Tank India 3' and revealed that she wanted Sony TV not to air her episode.
Jeevika Tyagi is a successful entrepreneur. She is currently the co-founder and CEO of Aastey, an athleisure brand. Jeevika recently appeared on Shark Tank India 3 to promote her brand and attract the Sharks towards her products. However, she failed to impress the judges, and Vineeta Thapar even called Jeevika's brand useless on national television. This left Jeevika hurt, and she asked the makers to cut the part where she presented her pitch.
Recently, Jeevika Tyagi appeared on a podcast and opened up about her experience on Shark Tank India. Recalling it, the entrepreneur mentioned that she and her co-founder didn't want their footage to be aired on TV as they were humiliated. She added that she had even requested Sony TV not to air their part on TV and said:
"Actually Sony walo ko ye baat pta thi ki hum chahte hi nahi hai ki humara episode air ho, Hume phone bhi aaya tha jis din air hone wala hai and I said I don’t want to be aired. Please try. Acha ek kaam karo tum please itna humare competitors ko footage dia hai wo sara hata do."

Revealing the reason behind the same, Jeevika shared that she didn't want to get publicity at the cost of her mental health. Stating that she could get plenty of other marketing opportunities out there, the entrepreneur added that she didn't want to promote the hypocrisy at Shark Tank on TV. She said:
"Har cheez ki cost hoti hai or hum apne mental health ki cost pe kisi cheez ko badhawa nahi de sakte. We were contradicting ourselves so we were like we don’t wanted to be aired. It’s mental trauma. We just don’t want that kind of energy for our brand. Aur mil jaenge market me marketing opportunities."
Jeevika further added that she and her co-founder have proof that they sent emails to Sony TV and even called them not to air the episode. She also mentioned that all their efforts were in vain and they realised it when the makers asked for the logo of their brand. Jeevika was heard saying:
"Hum sach bol rahe hain, humare paas proof hai email ka jo hum likh rahe hain, jahan hum bol rahe hain mat air karo. Humne call pe khud bola hai, meri co-founder ne khud try kiya hai apne tareeke se likhne ka unko ek long email jab unhone humara logo maanga ki hum pakka air ho rahe hai."
