In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Jennifer Winget opened up about her divorce with her ex-husband, Karan Singh Grover and revealed that it was no one’s fault as both of them weren’t ready to enter that phase of life then. She added that whatever happened, she and Karan both are quite happy in their present life. Talking about the same, Jennifer said:
“I think both of us were not ready. It’s not just him (Karan Singh Grover) or its not just me, both of us weren’t ready to take that step. We had been friends for so long. We were like a house on fire every time we met. But I think it was an unfortunate timing I guess.”
Further in the interview, Jennifer opened up about dealing with her divorce and mentioned how she cut out people from her list. The actress said that she was so confused at that moment and she didn't know how to process all that. Sharing how her friends would force her to go to clubs with them, Jennifer added:
“I was so lost and confused that I didn’t know what to tell people or how to process that. I remember my friends used to force me to go out and I’m like I don’t want to go. So one day I went out and I’m like in a club.. not a club really but it was a restaurant which was packed and you know the minute I enter, a lot of friends and people from the industry were there and they all look at me with those sad puppy eyes which I’m very thankful and respectful for their wishes and blessings and all of that."
She also talked about how people would look at her with sympathetic eyes after her divorce and mentioned that it pissed her off. Talking about the same, Jennifer said that she was not prepared to deal with all that so she started cutting off people from her life. She concluded:
"But whenever I used to go out, I used to see people looking at me with those sad, sympathetic eyes like ‘aare bichari yaar’ and it used to piss me off even more. That’s why I would not go out. I understand you’re feeling for me, it’s great but I don’t need that right now. Right now I’m not ready to deal with you because I’m dealing with me. So that’s why I cut off from people and once I was done with it, then I am so done with it.”
On the work front, Jennifer Winget was last seen in the web series, Code M.
