Tollywood star, Jr NTR manages to return home safely from Japan, as the country gets hit by 155 earthquakes on New Year's day.
Jr. NTR is one of the supremely talented actors in Tollywood. Being one of the highest-paid actors of his generation, he enjoys a massive fan following, courtesy of his handsome looks and exemplary acting mettle. In 2022, the actor received great heights, post his film, RRR received unparalleled honours at the 95th Academy Awards, as well as the Golden Globe Awards, being the first-ever Indian film to do so. In his personal life, the actor is happily married to Lakshmi Pranathi and the duo is blessed with two sons.
The world shook up post the news of a massive earthquake, of 7.6 magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded in Japan on January 1, 2024. This was followed by a series of another 155 short duration earthquakes, that were recorded in the country in a day. While millions of people are aiming for the safety of the people, popular Telugu star, Jr NTR informed his well being and safe return from Japan to India, amidst the natural disaster. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on January 2, 2024, he penned a note of sympathy, as his heart pained to see the fury unfurled by nature in the country, where he visited just a week back. Crediting the people of the country for helping in his swift recovery, he wrote:
“Back home today from Japan and deeply shocked by the earthquakes hitting. Spent the entire last week there, and my heart goes out to everyone affected. Grateful for the resilience of the people and hoping for a swift recovery. Stay strong, Japan.”

Well, Jr NTR shares an old and rather fond relation with the country, Japan as he has visited there quite a few times. For instance, back in 2022, the actor, who was then promoting his film, RRR had visited the countryThe film had collected a massive revenue of 410 million Yen at the Japanese box-office. Upon converting to INR, this comes to about Rs. 24.13 crores
Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s unmissable on-screen equation in SS Rajamouli’s period drama, RRR won hearts globally as the two actors simply delivered their outstanding performances. However, it is interesting to note how the two actors weren’t always meant to share such a good equation with one another in real life. For the unversed, their respective families had a longstanding fight with each other. However, the two of them simply got bored of maintaining a sense of forced animosity and instead turned into great friends. Previously, in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Jr NTR had talked about the kind of equation he shared with Ram. In his words:
“It's simple physics. Opposite poles attract. Charan gets attracted to what he doesn't have in him. And I get attracted to what I don't attain in myself, so we look up to each other. It's a support system. We complement each other, and we can share a few secrets that will never get out."

Speaking about Jr. NTR’s professional commitments, it is safe to say that the actor has gotten his hands full at the moment, and his fans are ecstatically waiting for some of his unparalleled performances soon. For the unversed, Jr NTR will be next seen in the film, Devara, which also stars Bollywood actors, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. He has recently unveiled the first look of his role in the film as well. Post this, Jr NTR would be collaborating with none other than Hrithik Roshan for the sequel of the 2019-film, War, which is slated to release in 2025.
