Kajol revealed how her mother received fake calls about her death a couple of times, and she had nothing but to wait for the news of her wellbeing.
Kajol has been Bollywood's favourite actress. She can light up any party with her mere presence, and her acting prowess is making her climb the ladder of success. With success comes a lot of media attention, followed by a lot of rumours. Kajol shared how once Tanuja received a call from someone who told her about the actress' death in a plane crash.
Kajol revealed that she has been subjected to a lot of death hoaxes over the years. Recently, Kajol appread on the Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. She revealed every once in five to ten years, she becomes the target of fake death news. The confession left everyone shocked.
Kajol further revealed that once her mother, Tanuja, received a call that claimed her daughter had died in a plane crash. She revealed that in those days, there were no social media or phone, so her mother had nothing to do but wait to know what happened. Kajol said:
"Yeah, so many times! This has happened many times. This used to happen before social media as well. Someone called my mother at home and told her that my plane had crashed. At that time, there was no social media or phone. So, my mom had to wait. So, this has happened quite a few times. Recently, also, I think a video had gone viral that I had died. That’s one of the weirdest. It’s sick."
During the same show, Kajol revealed that she never googles about herself. She shared that if a news is bit serious, her close ones send it to her before she can look up for it. She said:
"I have never had the need to Google myself because if the news is weird, people call and let me know. Someone or the other would forward me the news and say, 'Look! There's some strange news about you! What's happening?'"
Kajol Devgan has been the most gorgeous actress in the business for many years. She made her acting debut in 1992 with the film Bekhudi. However, she became a notable actress with her performance in the 1993 hit thriller Baazigar opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
