Kalki Koechlin arrived in style for her step-daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap's engagement bash in Mumbai. For those who don't know, Kalki got married to the filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap in 2011. However, after four years of living together, the issues started cropping up, and the couple decided to part ways. While Kalki is happily married to Guy Hershberg and is a mother of a baby girl, she shares a warm bond with her step-daughter, Aaliyah.
Aaliyah Kashyap is getting married to her longtime beau, Shane. It was at the start of 2024 when her boyfriend popped the marriage question, and she said 'yes'. By the end of 2024, Aaliya is tying the knot in a grand wedding ceremony. The paps spotted Kalki as she looked super pretty. She was dressed up in a dhoti skirt with a plunging neckline crop top.

In the IG stories of the bride, Aaliyah, we can see her dancing with her father, Anurag Kashyap, in a heartfelt moment. In another glimpse, we can see Aaliyah dressed up in a teal green-hued lehenga. She accessorised her look with a choker neckpiece, matching earrings and a maang teeka. On the other hand, her groom, was twinning in matching teal green-toned kurta.

Kalki always shared a warm bond with Aaliyah. In fact, in 2022, we spotted Aaliyah spending some quality time with her and her daughter, Sappho (Kalki and her boyfriend, Guy Hershberg's daughter). She had posted adorable photos on her Instagram feed, and it melted everyone's heart.
In an interaction with Kareena Kapoor Khan for her talk show, What Women Want, Kalki opened up about her divorce from Anurag Kashyap. She revealed that sometimes two people are just in two different time zones, and their timings don't match. Kalki added that she wanted different things at that point in the phase. She was quoted as saying:
"I feel sometimes, you are both just on very different time zones. Like, maybe I was very young and he was much older, and the timing just wasn’t correct. We wanted different things at that point. I think that makes a big difference."
