South Indian superstar, Kamal Haasan has tested positive for COVID-19, and the actor has confirmed the reports through his official Twitter handle. The veteran actor was in the United States to launch his clothing brand, and when he returned to India a few days ago, he tested positive for the life-threatening virus. As per the reports, the actor was fully vaccinated against COVID-19 but still came out positive and is suffering from a severe cough right now. As soon as his reports were out, Kamal isolated himself in a private hospital in Chennai and informed everyone about his COVID-19 report.

On November 22, 2021, Kamal Haasan took to his Twitter handle and confirmed the reports of him being COVID-19 positive in the media. Furthermore, the actor opened up about the mild symptoms of the virus that he is experiencing and requested everyone to take the pandemic seriously. His tweet can be read as:

"After returning from America, I had slight cough. Following a test it was confirmed that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have isolated myself in the hospital. Request everyone to be careful understanding that the speard of the virus hasn't stopped."
