While the couple is yet to confirm their engagement news and their upcoming nuptials, Priyanka’s Fashion co-star Kangana Ranaut shared that Priyanka is very ‘happy and excited’. At the Vogue Beauty Awards, Kangana was quoted as saying, “I spoke to Priyanka the other day and I congratulated her. She responded in a very… She seems excited and very happy. If such an event is taking place, I’d love to celebrate with her because she is lovely and she deserves all the happiness. She is a very dear friend. I get very happy and excited with weddings and engagements.”
Priyanka, who was making her comeback to the silver screens with Bharat left the film, and the director of the film, Ali Abbas Zafar tweeted about the same. But the twist is that his tweet started frenzied speculation that Priyanka and Nick had gotten engaged on her birthday in London. He wrote in his tweet, “Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special, she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her ... Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life.”
Later, the producer of the film, Nikhil Namit told Mid-Day, “Priyanka told us that she had to exit due to her engagement, two days ago. It was a little unprofessional of her to do it so suddenly.” Soon it was reported that Nick had shut down a Tiffany store to find the perfect engagement ring for Priyanka. In an interview sometime back, Nick spoke about his relationship with Priyanka and stated, “We met through a mutual friend who she did Quantico with, this guy Graham and we met up like in New York the first time and the same day I think we found out that we are both going to the MET gala with Ralph Lauren. And as strange as it sounds but we couldn't have planned it. We just had a great time. She's a lovely person and I'm dying now to go to India”. On the other hand, People.com quoted Priyanka as saying, “We’re getting to know each other, and I think it [coming to India] was a great experience for him”.
