Actress-turned-politician, Kangana Ranaut reacted to getting slapped by Chandigarh airport's CISF official. She revealed how the incident unfolded and why the staff was angry at her.
Kangana Ranaut joined politics after her success in the Hindi film industry. She recently won the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. After a sweeping victory, the actress-turned-politician headed to Delhi. However, en route to the national capital, Kangana faced a mishap at Chandigarh airport. She was slapped by a CISF official during the security check.
This incident created much noise in the media. Now, Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram stories to talk about the incident. Sharing that she was fine, the actress-turned-politician revealed that she has been getting numerous calls and messages from media and her well-wishers. Kangana further revealed that as she proceeded to board her flight after the security check, a CISF personnel hit her on her face and cussed at her as well. In her words:
"Namaste doston, mujhe bohot zyada phone calls aa rahe hai, media ke bhi aur mere shubhchintakon ke bhi. Sabse pehle toh I am safe, I am perfectly fine. Aaj Chandigarh airport par jo haadsa hua wo security check ke saath mein hua. Wahan pe main security check kar ke jaise hi nikli toh dusre cabin mein jo mahila thi, jo suraksha karamchari thi, CISF ki, unhone unko cross karne ka intezaar kiya aur side se aa kar mujhe face pe hit kiya aur gaaliyan dene lagi. Aur jab maine unko pucha ki unhone aisa kyu kiya toh unhone kaha ki wo farmer's protest ko jo hai support karti hai aur I am safe but my concern is ke jo aantakwaad ugrawaad hai Punjab mein badh raha hai, how do we handle that?"

On June 6, 2024, Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a CISF security personnel at the Chandigarh airport. According to several media reports, the actress proceeded to the curtained area for a security check when the official, LCT Kulwinder Kaur, had a heated argument with her and then slapped her. The CISF jawan was angry at the newly elected BJP MP for her previous statements regarding the farmer's protest.

Earlier, several media reports claimed that the actress-turned-politician, Kangana Ranaut would file a complaint with the Home Ministry in Delhi after what happened to her in Chandigarh airport. Moreover, an inquiry committee comprising senior officials has been set up to look into the matter as of now.

Just before this incident came to the limelight, Kangana took to her Instagram stories and posted pictures of herself decked up in a beautiful pink-purple ombre saree paired with a matching blouse. She was seen hugging her mother, Asha Ranaut, as she was all set to travel to Delhi to start her journey in politics as a newly elected MP. Kangana captioned one of her pictures as:
"On my way to the parliament…Mandi Ki Sansad."
