For the unversed, Chaitra Hallikeri is married to Balaji Pothraj and was living her marital life happily only to find out about this scam. As per a report stated in The Times Of India, the Kannada actress, Chaitra Hallikeri has lodged an FIR against her in-laws and husband, Balaji Pothraj and accused them of misusing her bank statement for their benefit. Reportedly, police has confirmed the same. Earlier, the actress had also filed a complaint against her husband for allegedly assaulting her physically.
In the written statement, Chaitra has mentioned that her husband and father-in-law have taken a gold loan through her bank account without her knowledge. She further stated that the Branch manager of South Indian Bank has also conspired with the accused and helped them to get through the loan. Chaitra alleged that ever since she has approached to the police, she has been getting life threats from her in-laws and husband. For those who don't know, Jayalakshmipuram police in Mysuru city has lodged the case under IPC Sections 468, 406, 409, 420, 506, and 34 and been investigating it.
