'Kannappa': Manchu Manoj once accused his brother, Vishnu Manchu of misusing their father, Mohan Babu's name for personal gain and creating controversy.

For the unversed, Kannappa features Mohan Babu, his son, Vishnu Manchu, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal, among others. While Kannappa is making headlines, people are digging deeper into Mohan Babu and his son, Vishnu Manchu's lives. Well, amid the upcoming movie is making the headlines, let us look back at the time when Vishnu was accused by his brother Manchu Manoj of misusing their father, Mohan Babu's name for personal gain and giving rise to controversy.
For the unversed, Mohan Babu got married to Vidya Devi, with whom he has a daughter, Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna, and a son, Manchu Vishnu. After Vidya Devi passed away, Mohan Babu gave love another chance and got married to Vidya Devi's sister, Nirmala, with whom he had a son, Manchu Manoj. Well, it was a few months ago, when their alleged family issues sparked the controversy. It was back in December 2024 when Mohan Babu accused Manchu Manoj and his wife, Mounika of occupying his home in Jalpally, Hyderabad. He had lodged a complaint against Manoj and Mounika in Ranga Reddy District Magistrate.
In response to the same, Manchu Manoj met Additional Collector Pratima Singh and shared his side of the story. Well, according to a report by Mana Stars, Manoj accused Vishnu of creating a controversy and causing a rift in the family. He reportedly said that there's absolutely no dispute going on in the family over property, and the controversy began only because of Vishnu. He further added that his brother, Vishnu is misusing Mohan Babu's name to garner attention and create a drama. Stating that he had never acted against his father, Manoj said:
"There are no internal family disputes over property. The controversy began because of my brother Vishnu Manchu’s actions. Vishnu is using my father’s name to stage a drama and divert attention. I have never acted against my father. I am committed to helping students, my family, and our relatives.”
Reports about the tension between two brothers, Manchu Manoj and Vishnu Manchu had been grabbing the headlines for a long. It was reported that the primary reason behind this was the distribution of family businesses and properties. Mohan Babu's wealth includes educational institutions, wherein Vishnu has been given some significant roles but not Manoj. Reportedly, this had a connection to the feud between the two brothers.
If the reports are to be followed, the Manchu family has disapproved of Manoj and Mounika's marriage, which is why, tension in the family came into action. Well, earlier back in 2023, Manoj dropped a video and alleged that Vishnu tried to bargain into his house, which the latter denied with cryptic posts. Later in the same year, the Mohan Babu University alleged mistreatment from Vishnu along with financial irregularities. It was a crucial time for Mohan Babu and his family, when Manoj was seen defending his father on social media, and this reportedly escalated the tension between Manoj and Vishnu.
