Kapil Sharma, India’s biggest comedian, tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Ginni Chatrath on December 12, 2018. The two had a proper Sikh wedding in a Gurudwara, following Anand Karaj rituals. The two of them have known each other from college days and have been in a relationship for many years. For the ones who don’t know, Kapil took to his official Twitter handle to introduce the love of his life, Ginni Chatrath. He had shared a lovely picture with Ginni and had captioned it as, “Will not say she is my better half. She completes me. Love u, Ginni, please welcome her. I love her so much”.
Confirming his wedding with Ginni and putting rest to all the conjectures, Kapil had then stated, “The wedding is on December 12 in Jalandhar. That’s Ginni’s hometown. We wanted to keep it low key. But Ginni is the only daughter in her family. Her folks wanted the wedding to be on a lavish scale. And I completely understand their sentiments. My mother also wants the wedding to be lavish”. Yesterday, on March 21, 2019, it was Holi and the entire nation was having a gala time. And so was our newly weds, Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath. Kapil Sharma on his wedding with Ginni had earlier told IANS, “My mother has been saying that I should get married for a long time. Suddenly I realised that ‘abhi age ho rahi hai’ (I am getting on in age). Revealing his love story, he had once retorted, “I have known her for 10 years since my college days in Jalandhar. I used to go to her college to do stand-up comedy. I fell in love with her first, then my mother fell in love with her and that's when I felt I should make it official. She not only completes me but is my better half."
In a light-hearted conversation, Kapil had once shared, “Maine shaadi rokne ki bahut koshish ki, par kuch nahin hua (laughs). Jokes apart, I am ecstatic to be with Ginni and I know this marriage will be a huge change in my life. Discipline aayega. She takes good care of me and is a huge support in my life. On the similar lines, Bharti Singh lately had remarked, “He comes on the sets cut to cut and is always on time. We always finish the shoot on time and I always think that Ginni is very lucky and she is very sweet. She sends food not just for Kapil, but also for all of us.”
The Khatron Ke Khiladi season 9 contestant had further added, “Ginni is taking great care of Kapil, right from yoga to sending him to the gym to boiled vegetables and everything else.
