Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a ‘Janta Curfew’ on March 22, 2020, and at 5 pm, the nation had stepped out to give a shout-out to mark the solidarity of the unsung superheroes providing the essential services during lockdown. Be it the Ambani clan including Kokilaben Ambani, Mukesh Ambani and Shloka Mehta, the Bachchans including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aaradhya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Navya Naveli Nanda or the Johars including Hiroo Johar, Karan Johar, Yash Johar and Roohi Johar, every B-town member had come on their balconies and terraces to give a shout-out during the Coronavirus pandemic. Kapil Sharma too, has been spreading the awareness on COVID-19 and the Janta Curfew through his social media handle.
